Government should pay more attention on health care issues than on environmental issues。

Along the fast development of economy, people's focus shift from living substances to health condition and environment. And when it comes to the issue that whether we should pay more attention on health care instead of environment, people's opinions are divergent. As for me, I firmly in favor of environmental issues are more important and should be paid more attention .


To begin with, environment is the shared resource among human beings. It is the basic responsibility to protect it for our generations. Despite scientists are making constantly efforts to an attempt to find another planet for living, there is no signs they have succeeded. Even worse, humans destroy activities make our environment is ever easier to collapse. For acid rain, ozone hole, desertification, and other severe broken ecosystem phenomenon are all threatening our lives. According to an article published in human development report concludes that if the global weather continues to warm at its present speed, the polar bear would extinct by 2030 in wild. And for the question that which is the next will disappear on earth, maybe someday the answer is definitely human beings. There is no doubt that, currently, the earth is the sole space for living. Every member of the earth nowadays should act immediately to prevent our living room from increasingly losing.


Another equally important factor accounting for my propensity lies in the fact that health and environment are closely related, in other words, both of which are influenced by each other in a large scale. Environment can spread some infectious diseases easily by air, water, and food. A quite common case is that you may catch a cold by the virus in the air from another patient, similarly virus can survive in the water and food that if you eat these doubtless you will be ill. In this sense, a clean and safe environment plays an irreplaceable role on the health concerns. In sum, viewing this tight relationship between heath care and environment. Most obviously, we should pay more attention on environment.

However, as everything is a double-edged-sword. Lavish care and attention on environment and little on health care may be counterproductive even harmful. For, advancement of medical technology is also urgent needed to cure some intractable diseases that are still lethal, like HIV, cancer, and Parkinson’s syndrome .

In the final analysis, above the forgoing discussion, we can safely come to the conclusion that protecting our environment is more important and should be considered as a basic responsibility.
