Argument156  第1篇 让砖头来得更猛烈些吧!
------题目------
The following is taken from an advertisement placed in a weekly business magazine by the Dickens Academy.
'We distributed a survey to senior management at International Mega-Publishing, Inc. The result of the survey clearly indicates that many employees were well prepared in business knowledge and computer skills, but lacked interpersonal skills to interact gracefully with customers. International Mega-Publishing decided to improve customer satisfaction by sending their newly hired employees to our one-day seminars. Since taking advantage of our program, International Mega-Publishing has seen a sharp increase in sales, an indication that the number of their disgruntled customers has declined significantly. Your company should hire Dickens and let us turn every employee into an ambassador for your company.'

The conclusion in the argument is that Dickens should be hired by your company and let Dickens turn your company`s every employee into an ambassador. To support the conclusion, the arguer cites a example of International Mega-Publishing, Inc.(IM) that after sending its newly hired employees to Dickens`s one-day seminars, IM sharply increase its sales and its disgruntled customers has declined significantly.This argument suffers from several critical fallacies.

In the first place, the arguer fails to provide substantial evidence to demonstrate that how Dickens`s one-day seminars contribute to the sharple increased sales of IM. As we know, many factors can lead to increase one company`s sales, for example, training just as Dickens`s one-day seminars, company`s advertisement about their products, and the requirement of markets. Hence, to convince us, the arguer need to offer the cause leading to the sales` agrandizement.

In the second place, neither does the arguer convince us that IM`s disgruntled customers has declined significantly after sending its newly hired employees to Dickens`s one-day seminars. The arguer does not  demonstrate why the customers complaint and even not refer to who satisfy the clients. If what the customers disgruntled were not relevant to the content that Dickens`s one-day seminars want to practise, those feats satisfing customers would have nothing to do with those seminars.Furthermore, it is unfair that the arguer imply newly hired employees serve worse than old employees for customers that result in their unsatisfaction. The arguer is base on a false assumption.

In addition, granted that IM`s did benefit from the siminars offered by Dickens, there is good reason to doubt that all other companies should follow suit.Due to lacking of evidenes of all companies, we have to acknowledge it is sightless for all companies to send their newly hired employees to Dickens`s one-day seminars. The arguer must provide more information that why customers complaint for those companies and  why the sales descreasing for those companies.

In conclusion, the argument lacks credibility because the evidence cited in the ananalysis does not lend strong sustain what the arguer insist. To better evaluate the arguerment, we need more information regarding contribution of Dickens`s one-day seminars to increase sales, declined complaint, and fitting to all companies.

(这篇有点特殊 直接把论点就出来不太好 毕竟是篇广告 一句一个YOU YOUR感觉很怪 看文章的人是判卷老师 又不是某个公司主管 换个说法把 比如说Dicken如何如何有用可以提高员工交流技巧之类) To support the conclusion, the arguer cites a(an) example of International Mega-Publishing, Inc.(IM) that after sending its newly hired employees to Dickens`s one-day seminars, IM sharply increase its sales and its disgruntled customers has declined significantly.This argument suffers from several critical fallacies.
