As(With) the great advancement of science and technology, the globalization makes our planet become smaller than ever before. People begin to find that no matter where they live, they face some similar social problems as people in other countries. In my point of view, despite of some disadvantages, the development of a global university will help our human to solve those mutual problems we face.

To begin with, the establishment of a global university will help us to solve those complex mutual problems without national boundaries. The great human intellectual achievements last century not only(不要) bring us some conveniences to a certain extent,  but also(不要) unfortunately create some serious problem, such as pollution and global warming. These problems threaten the survival of the whole human society. Nevertheless, the complex reasons behind these problems make the solution of them far beyond the ability of any single country. For instance, the reason behind the global warming is not a single country's mistake but roots in many different countries. On one hand, the developed countries consume large amount of energy to support their industries while emit quite a lot of exhaust gas that will make our planet warmer. On the other hand, to catch up with those developed countries in economical conditions, the poor countries would like to sacrifice their nature resource, such as destroying the rain forest, and subsequently break up the balance of the nature and accelerate the global warming.  No any single country can solve these problems because of their complexity. Under this circumstance, the development of a global university undoubtedly will help us to find a solution because in such a university, we can use the resources from all the countries in the world and benefit from the cooperation of the preeminent scientist of different cultural background. Furthermore, in this university, we can hear from different countries involved in these problems and try to find a balance between them.  These will help us to find an applicable solution acceptable for most countries.  把严重情况的背景介绍的有点多，应该是要着墨在世界性大学建立之后可以干多少实事吧.

In addition, a global university will help to minimize the confrontation between(among) different cultures. Some other mutual problems we face, such as wars, are partly caused by the misunderstanding between(among) distinct cultures. The development of a global university and enrolling students around the world who are responsible to function in their societies can help to eliminate the cultural misunderstanding and therefore decrease some confrontations. For instance, once upon a time, China and America thought each other as enemies. Besides some complex politician reasons, the confrontation between these two great nations are partly because of the dilemma that the public in both China and America seldom have a chance to know who(what) the others really are. Were they really the devils as the government depicted? After 1979, more and more Chinese went to American while(meanwhile) more Americans visited China. Through the closer observation of each other, the publics in both countries began to believe that the persons in the other country were as kindness as themselves. As increase of the understanding of(between) each other, friendships between America and China are established. So, if a global university can be built, through the communication between the students with different culture(cultural) backgrounds, understanding of each other will increase and confrontation might be minimized.

However, there are some intrinsic flaws in such a global university. The establishment of the university has to gain supports from the governments of different nations. It's quite possible that at last(在文中的话，用eventually好点吧) politician factors will influence the running of the university and violate the long-established tradition of freedom in universities. For instance, the more powerful countries might ask for more influences on the policies of this global university and ignore the requests from other smaller or weaker countries. Or the powerful countries might convey their own values in this university and in this case, the confrontation between different cultures will not be minimized but exaggerated. Therefore, the development of such a global university must be carefully treated and effective rules should be constructed to guarantee that the equal treats of different countries are crucial(promised).

In summary, if carefully designed, the development of a global university will benefit the whole world through the communication from students with different background and the collaborations of scientists of distinct countries. 最后讲到了不同地区的科学家的作用，在文中没有涉及到.
