The following appeared in a medical newsletter.
"Doctors have long suspected that secondary infections may keep some patients from healing quickly after severe muscle strain. This hypothesis has now been proved by preliminary results of a study of two groups of patients. The first group of patients, all being treated for muscle injuries by Dr. Newland, a doctor who specializes in sports medicine, took antibiotics regularly throughout their treatment. Their recuperation time was, on average, 40 percent quicker than typically expected. Patients in the second group, all being treated by Dr. Alton, a general physician, were given sugar pills, although the patients believed they were taking antibiotics. Their average recuperation time was not significantly reduced. Therefore, all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment."

The author considers that taking antibiotics as part of muscle strain treatment would reduce the time of recovery. According to the
results of an experiment show two group of people having different speed of refresh by taking antibiotics or not. However, there are several appreciabled analogy falses in this argument.

Above all, the validity of the experiment is doubtful. The results of the experiment is unconvincing due to we do not know the two group of people are representative. Are they all men or women? Are they all at the same
age of eighteen? There is nothing more about all of these information. What is more, the two group have two different doctors which one of them is an expert in sports medicine. As is well known , the expert has more special skills on this filed than general doctors. Thus, the results of the study need much more strong evidence to support.

Furthermore, the author makes an incomplete thoughts false in analogy. The hypothesis of taking antibiotics could decrease the time of recovery from muscle strain is considered as an unique fact on recovery. It is well known that having a good rest
and taking some tonic could recuperate as quickly as possible. Since everyone has autoantibody which can protect oneself health. Moreover, everybody has vary constitutions so that not anyone has the same resistibility. Therefore, the advice of
that all patients who are suffered muscle strain should take antibiotics is not suitable for all.
The last not the least, the hypothesis of the argument is a false analogy. As it mentioned that Doctors are suspected that the secondary infections may keep people refreshing from muscle strain. There is no evidence about the every serve muscle strain patient would be suffered secondary infections. So we can not infer that antibiotics is necessary to all patients who have muscle strain.

To sum up, the argument lacks some strong evidences to support its conclusion. Besides, the author makes a false in analogy that not all patients need the antibiotics in the treatment. To strengthen the page, the author should show more specific information on the experiments.
