Admittedly, with the development of science and technology our lives are becoming more and more convenient and colorful, just as the speaker says, video camera which is a typical product of modern technology is playing an increasing important role in keeping and documenting information. However, it is presumptuous to judge that written records will replaced by video camera. On balance, I fundamentally agree that both the two methods are all indispensable. for the progress of our society.

For one thing, is a fact that video camera has many advantages over written records, for it can record information more vivid, directed, objective and accurate as well as convincing .Nothing is more important than to enjoying lives for individuals, if any, due to the convince and accurateness of the video camera, we can remember a lot of precious moments , the people you love, the time you think is very important in your life, the views you ever not seen,which not only beautiful and colorful but also integrated and lively. Besides, video camera play a more significant part in medias. Without video cameras, television programs ,the films, the TV plays,live broadcast and so on ,can't existence. There is considerable proof in favor of this opinion, "Discovery", a popular program, relying on the high level video skill, recorded and described a great deal of beautiful and striking places. And, we can be lying in bed comfortably and watching live NBA matches and the celebration of Hollywood,. What's more, video camera is a more important tool to record and reflect history and the trend of society, through the little window of video camera we'll have a more clearly awareness of our period and also understand history better. In short, video camera has became a indispensable part of individual life, media, also society and history.

However, video cameras are not used as frequently as written records for the simple reason that video cameras are too expensive for most of people, especially in developing countries. Moreover, due to its own limitations, the video cameras cannot be used in every time and every circumstances, while the written document is a far more convenient method of recording in almost any occasions. There is no reason thatvideo camera should not be paid attention, however, there is reason to continue to emphasis the importance of written records. When it comes to individual, written records, diary or letter, are effective method to enrich one's memory and life. Diary could help us know the secret desire of ourselves and writing letter is an essential way to communicate with our friends, parents, lovers. As for as I am concerned, any girl expect to receive "love letter" from the boy who she like. Without letter, people will lost many emotion experiences and can't understand what is affection, the nature of human beings. Written record can abstract summarization of ideas, thought, emotion, interior feelings of people, constitute rules, regulations or laws, as well as generalize and emphasize the depth of the record, while the video camera cannot nothing about all of these.

Just like the two hands of our body, video camera and written record are both vital in our lives and society. Video camera is the representative of modern technology, reflecting modernization and written record is the representative of tradition, showing us the consistent idea, emotion, value system.. The video camera does have its own merits, but we should make good use of the technology without abandoning our traditional values, which also have their own merits and advantages that the new technologies do not have.

To sum up, video camera and written record, modern and tradition, are supplement o of each other, we can't overlook any aspect. There two media can build upon one another, to make the records of our lives more accurate and convincing and also make our lives more efficient and convenient. Only in this way can we expect a more colorful and harmonious society and world.
