In the reading material, it states that importing species has more of a negative than a positive effect, and lists three reasons to name it. In the lecture, the professor thinks the viewpoint of the writer is questionable, and she corrects all the statements in the text as followed.

First, the writer says that it is the introduced species that destroy native species and gives an example happened in North American. The speaker lectures that the alien species don't always do harm to the native species. Although some of them have a negative effect on the native, they actually don't eliminate them. And the professor points out that the decline in fact is caused by pollution and certain diseases. Also, no scientist has found evidence to prove of what is stated in the text.

Second, the author announces that the introduced species upset the ecological balance of a region and takes the toads in Florida as an example. Frankly, the speaker doesn't deny the bad effects the toads bring to Florida, but she claims that the toads are exceptions. On the contrary, most alien species do more benefit then harm to a region. They give a region the opportunity to diversify the ecosystem.

Third, the reading material says the introduced species may impose economic burden on the region and takes the invasive mesquite in Mexican desert as an instance. In the listening material, the lecturer also uses this example to clear up. She says when mesquite was introduces to Africa, it benefits both plants and local people. Some plants depend on it for food, and the local people also use it in different ways. So to say alien species impose economic burden is doubtable.

不错,没啥问题,最后加个总结就好了,我总觉得有最后一段好点
