With the development of technologies and economics, urbanization is become more and more notable. Most of the people believe that the advantages of living in a big city could overweigh that of a small town, such as convenience for shopping, easiness for success and so on. However, in my perspective, being in a small town would be the better choice. It could be illustrated as follows.
Firstly, living in a small town you could make more friends. When we live in a big city, there are always millions of people who is busy with businesses day and night. We lead such a dizzying rhythm life that little time is left for us to have a fun with our friends or make friends. In contrast, if we live in a small town, usually living pressure will be much lower, and after living with others a long time, we could be very familiar with nearly all the people in the town. Take myself as a vivid example. I was born in a small town in the north of China. In my hometown, people always know each other for many years. I still remember the smiling expression of tall and fat Uncle Wang, warm-hearted Aunt Lee, and other residents in the area.
Secondly, the consumption in a small town is much low. We don’t have to pay much in traveling, renting, or eating in a small town, which is frequently counted to a big number. Assuming renting the same size room of fifty square meters, in the big city of Beijing, it costs at least a thousand yuan per month, but in my home town, it costs only one hundred yuan per month. In Beijing, the capital of China, you should pay more than twenty yuan for a simple meal which is three times the cost in my hometown. Hence with the same amout of money, people could lead a life more comfortably in a small town.
Finally but not least, it is good for our health to live in a small town. As we all know, usually the air is fresher and the water is cleaner in a small town than those in a big city where many factories in and around it. Many researches report that the old people in a small town have better health. This result from that they are far from the pollution in cities. So for leading a healthy life, we should better live in a small town.
People always think it is not convenient for the dwellers in a small town to shop, but this is a prevailing misunderstanding. With the development of traffic and economics nowadays, most goods in cities could also be seen in towns. To conclude, despite of the merits of living in a big city, it is a wiser choice to live in a small town considering the aspects above.
