The fur collar wasn't a part of painting, it was painted over top of the painting after hundreds of years by others in oder to increase it's value. This directly contradicts what the reading passage indicates that Portrait always pay much attention to the details so he couldn't paint a woman wearing fur collar in a servant dress.
