The advent of DVD enables us to view movies at home. However, considering the advantages, I still prefer the traditional way, going to a cinema, to enjoy movies rather than doing it at home.
When watching a movie, it is not only the movie itself but also the resonance with other audiences brings us joy and sweeps away loneliness. It is human nature to regard loneliness with horror and, therefore, long for a sense of belonging. And watching a movie in the cinema will provide you the sense of being surrounded with sympathizers. Cite myself as an example, before viewing the movie "This is it", I felt quite isolated for that no one around me loved Michael Jackson. But I was gratified and escaped from loneliness for that I discovered that there were so many people in the world sharing the same feeling with me after seeing the spectators beating their heads when Michael sang and clapping for a long time after a performance. If I viewed that at home, I wouldn’t have the chance to experience such wonderful feelings.
It should be admitted that enjoying the movie at home would be more comfortable for that you can dress any clothes and take any gestures you want , but it should not be negated that enjoying it in the cinema is an access to better visual and auditory feast. The larger screen and preferable acoustics make you go into the movie and experience the scenes like you were there.
As a result, watching a movie in the cinema would take away the loneliness as well as means a better environment to enjoy it. It’s obviously that the fun provided by laughing and crying with so many people and holding the sense that you are not alone couldn’t be replaced by watching a movie at home.
