170. Groups or organizations are an important part of some people's lives. Why are groups or organizations important to people? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.

Do you believe this kind of saying that printed books for students will not be in use anymore and gradually replaced by other medium? For my part, I strongly side with this statement. And my explanations are listed as below.

Admittedly, those who oppose to this statement may argue that printed book for students has its unique merits that never appear on other kinds of medium. For example, the low cost of production contributes to the advantage of printed books  and its affordable price also results in the practical purchasing of readers. What's more, its mini volume and its lightness make it convenient to bring with.

However, in my opinion, these shallow reasons may not stop the trend of the fading out of historical stage of printed books. As we all know, the production of printed book demands on huge amount of paper, the raw material of which originates from fibers of trees. In order to satisfy the continuous market demand for books, countless trees are being hacked down year by year, which leads to horrible deforestation. The rapid deforestation for paper production also causes various kinds of environmental problems such as the loss of fertile earth, the gradual desertification and the extinction of species living in the forests, etc. As the emergency for us to stop the deterioration of our environment, we have to stop using printed book.

Moreover, with the roaring development of electronic technology, electronic mediums renders much more advantageous than printed books. For instance, electronic reading devices provide us more advanced way of reading. People can adjust the fonts of the passages according to their request; also the reading function of real human voice can make the reading more vivid. Additionally, given the convenience of bringing with, electronic reading devices are produced smaller and lighter, some of them own even smaller size and weight than real printed books. Some may argue that it is much more expensive to use electronic reading devices than traditional printed books. But we can not ignore one point that the purchase of electronic reading device is the once expense, and we can change the content inside whenever we want; for the real printed book, when we finish reading them and want to read a new one, we have to buy another one. With the increasing number of books we have bought, the total expenditure may have already surpass that of electronic reading devices.

By and large, although a couple of reasons illustrate the advantages of current existing printed books, the more serious results brought about by its production and more advanced electronic technology for reading offer us already enough reasons to believe that printed books for students will not be in used anymore in twenty years.
