TOPIC: ISSUE153 - "Students should bring a certain skepticism to
whatever they study. They should question what they are taught
instead of accepting it passively."

I basicly  agree with the broad assertion that ,as the speaker
indicates , since a certain skepticism play a very important role  in
one's study ,students should question what they are taught
instead of accepting it passively . However,as I see , this kind of
skepticism must be based  on demonstration study and
reasonable thought which even are more crucial in the learning
progress than skepticism itself .Overlooking them may leads
disastrous results.

There are at least two benefits  which make me firmly believe that
a skepticism in study is necessary.The first one ,our study is much
more effective by skepticizing .While we suspect what we are
taught ,in other words ,when we take an active attitude to new
information,a better impression of the knowledge is available
.Striking expamples attesting this point exist in today's schools.
Primary sutdents are encouraged to take part in the class and
usually the one who has  many questions gets a more outsanding
achivement than a passive one in study.

The second ,creativity comes possibly  from skepticism. Any
theory , experience summed up by predecessors, has it limited
approbriatly applied areas and even includes some mistakes in it .
Only by skepticzing ,we  clearly find how to utilize a theory ,and
develope a more perfect one in a broader situation. A very
compelling example involves the history of physics in 20th
century. Max Planck ,a famous German physicist, who firstly built
the concept of the quantum ,missed the quantum theory since he
was not brave enough to skepticizing the classical physics. On the
contrary , Einstein develop it by challenging the traditional ideas
and have a great a impact on the physics realm.

On the other hand ,blind skepticism ,that lack demonstration
study and reasonable thoutght ,brings damages rather than
benefits. Demonstratino means that when we suspect some
theories , we need adequate evidences to identify what is wrong
,what is right and what is partly reasonable. Otherwise ,that is to
say skepticizing blindly ,one will fall into agnosticism. In the
history ,Dvid Hume ,an English philosophy ,was known for his
agnosticism which suspect we humans'  rational abilities. He
asserted that  the world around us is entirely impossibe to
cognize. However ,he obviously overlooked a large amount of
achievments we have made through our cognization and practice
to the world. Moreover , agnosticism can hardly prove itself but
give us  a pessmistic view about the world . If what the agnostics
said is true , a high developed civiliation today is completely a
fantasy.

In sum ,skepticism is indispensible in the study process .It not
only bring a more effective learn but also culture our critical
bilities and creativity. But when we suspect something,more
attention should be drawn to the reansonable evidences rather
than blind skepticism to  prevent  damages and make the benefits
of skepticism really beneficial.

instead of accepting it passively . However, as I see(不怎么地道， 用as far as I am concerned) , this kind of skepticism must be based  on demonstration study(不明白) and
reasonable thought which even are more crucial in the learning
progress than skepticism itself .Overlooking them may lead
disastrous results.
开头表述上好像有点不清楚， 如果对某种句式不是很掌握的就不要用在开头， 你是不是想要表达质疑很重要， 但是理性分析更重要？我是这样理解的

我觉得质疑的一个先决条件应该是必须具有最基本的认知能力，如果在质疑之前就需要足够的证据去说明它的对错， 质疑就变得不重要了， 质疑的时候一切都是未知的。

In sum ,skepticism is indispensible in the study process .It not
only bring a more effective learn(这句话有问题) but also culture our critical
