There are not any two leaves completely the same, so dose(do?) people. All of us have the different characteristics, even the twin brothers. It is effective when education is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, but, it is hard to achieve.
First of all, it is very important to reach the different between individuals when educate(educating). Confucius, the greatest educator and philosopher in ancient China, has a principle to educate his students—teach(teaching) students in accordance of their aptitude. As the result, he brought up 70 wisdoms from the three hundred students of him. It is a great achievement that tells us that teach different thing to different student is a good way to discover the student's ability.
In addition, courses designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student are very important to provide student to their own merit. Painting, for example, not all the students fit painting, it is a waste of time to teach them painting.
For my own experience, I am a little disabled in painting, but waste(wasting) a lot of time to do that only because it is a coercive course in my middle school. There is always some students have the talents in some special field like art, science or sports, we can design the courses to meet their special talent to help them become professions.
Furthermore, education will be more efficient when it is designed to meet the students' interests. After all, we have more patience in the things we(are) interested in. Some students like philosophy while others like physics, it is unwise to educate them with the same curriculums, design more philosophy or physics for the students who like that is a better way. As we all know we can learn the things well when we interest in it.(?) Accordingly, education can be more effective when it is design(designed) to fit the students' own characters.(对感兴趣的东西有耐心,然后感觉翻来覆去都是在写“有兴趣→学得好”,为什么会这样?可以写上“有兴趣→多投入时间,质疑并创新。。。→掌握得好”)
On the other hand, it is hard to achieve that design(designing) the courses to every students(student). Firstly, it will sharply decrease the efficiency of education(怎样降低?); student is excessively more than teachers or the course designers.(为何?不太明白) Secondly, there is some knowledge everyone must learn to fit the society, at least one aim of education is to cultivate the person with ability to build our world. Some curriculums like basic physics, language, basic math, or sports can be taught in the same way to every student.(是否可再增加一些对于“通识”的教育不需要因材施教的讨论?浪费资源,有可能造成混乱)
It is important and effective to design the courses to meet the individual needs and interests. But, only when we consider our resources of education and the general knowledge which must known by everyone and combine it with individual needs and interests can education become truly effective.
