Whether students should bring certain skepticism in their study process instead of accepting what they are taught passively. The author prefer like a skeptic students than a student who is passive accept when they are being taught. I agree with author insofar as that the skepticism spirits in education. Otherwise, in different age those students would have different attitude: maintain skeptic or accept? For general people, it is primarily through such debate that students are different education degree, whether at the primary degree, at the middle and high school degree, and at the superior to college education (including college).
At the primary school degree, by listening to teacher teach basic methods of knowledge and cultivating children's interest. As the saying goes," There is no fundament, no skyscraper would be built." When students in this period, they would prefer unobtrusive absorb knowledge from teachers than usually doubt with teacher. Or if they often doubt but do not accept , they learnt little.
As the middle and high school degree, this is a transition period, form master skills of study. Referring teenagers, they already have mastered some knowledge in elementary school. They become form opinion for things they meet, include being taught by teacher. However, the view that students hold is not mature, it is easy to be mislead due to usually skeptic teachers opinion.
When students are enroll by university, they obtain the chance to a specialized subject more deeply study what they interest. In this age, what professors teach almost are undertaking expertise information and now available university students being verified by foregoing expertise. More questioned in major subject field can make more creation and inspire more inspirations.
What's more, bring to study is more inspire our inspirations. As example that illustrates students should bring a certain questioned to when they being taught. Beethoven is the greatest German composer and one of the “Symphony’s Father"- Haydn's student. Haydn was very appreciating Beethoven's ingenious and disseminates what he knew. However, in the Beethoven's inner heart is fulfilling liberty, equality, and philanthropy, his personality is abundant of creative spiritual and intractable. Beethoven not only skeptic Haydn's theory, but compose more excellent charter, such as <<Hero Symphony>>, <<Sonata of Moonlight>>.
In conclude, without skeptic theory, students would find truth out of a step. Without modesty to learning basis knowledge, children would find truth no access. Thus, the primarily is master fundamental knowledge, then they could bring skeptic regard matters which could learn more innovation.
