It is not a new phenomenon that the death of a language. But the speed of that is new nowadays. As the information globalization, languages are the same. Minor languages are now died in an amazing speed. To protect the resplendent cultures of our human being, the government should act to prevent such languages from becoming extinct.

First of all, language is not merely a tool to communication, it also bearing the culture of the people who use this language. Folklore, for example, is a symbol of culture and may hand down by oral from generation to generation. The specific way to express or the stories behind the words are all the value of language. Even more, it can bring us aesthetic value; every language has its own beauty that any other could not possibly place. For instance, even the best translation of Thus Spake Zarathustra, the most famous work of Nietzsche, is lost much of the beauty of the original book because the different rhythms between the languages and the impossible translate of the intelligent tricks used on words. Thus the true value of language is far beyond utility value.

In addition, the death of minor languages is a loss of history. The culture behind languages is precious to historians to study. If they die out, the window of a culture closed. For example, it is very hard for us to encipher the culture of Maya because their suddenly disappear from this world. Language is the most significant way to hand down the culture it has. English will never explain the Chinese literature works clearly, because the culture and the meaning behind the words can never be explained. The extinct of any language will let much culture behind it die away.

On the other hand, it is urgent to save the minor languages. An expert has indicated that to preserve a language needs at least 10,000 people to use it. But in today's world English is dominate the language world. The best way to kill a language is to teach another language. The colonization of Great Britain at last few centuries played a significant role in boost the death of language. Many countries that colonized by Britain already forgot their own language. Even in Chinese education, English is more important than Chinese. All of these show us the evidence of the die off of languages except English.

To solve this, governments of countries, in which the being lost languages are spoken, should take effort to protect their own language in order to preserve their valuable culture. They can take more emphasis on teaching these languages in the schools and encouraging the use of them in public places or on mass media.

In conclusion, to save the world's lesser-known languages, which are being lost as fewer and fewer people speak them, is the duty of the governments of these countries. And it will remain the diversity of human's culture and other values the language bring us.

整篇文章没什么问题,只是可惜开头段和结尾段写得不够出色,中间的论述和论据倒是非常好,开头有些表达有点中式,不太到位。最好把开头段重写一下
