I admit that in most histories, individuals were put into the first place that led the great revolutions or influenced our whole world. However, we should not ignore the effect of ordinary civilians whom may have been long forgotten. It was them advanced the changes contributing a lot to the society. Therefore, when studying the history, the best means to acknowledge it well is to emphasis on not only individuals but also groups of people.

At every beginning, history tells us that the influence of urban citizens should not be forgotten. Many famous historical affairs happened caused by groups of people. They stimulated and advanced revolutions, they supported the government's policy and they made a great number of contributions to the world. Without them, we can not live in such a comfortable life. If the young men refused to join in the army to fight against Nazi in the World War II, we probably still live under the war or our parents were killed the enemies. Our modern society could only be an imagination in children's minds. If there were no bourgeoisie, peasants and urban people, the absolute monarchy was still existed. Maybe we memorized a lot about Napoleon, but these ordinary civilians were exactly the core power overthrowing the used feudal system. From the reasons above, we can realize the key impacts of the groups of people.

Secondly, although the people's power made significant events and trends, we also need to consider about the core individuals in every movement. They conveyed the fresh ideas to most people and acted to call on the whole social attention. When faced with unfair treat, most black reminded quite tolerating all criticism. However, after the famous speaking made by Martin Luther King, almost every black people stood up to fight for their own right. They demonstrated to ask for equal rights compared with the white. From then, they don not need to yield their seats on bus; they can select who can lead them in the next four years and so on. Thanks to this speaking, the social level of the black has been improved greatly. If nobody like Martin ever existed, the situation might be totally different.

Thirdly, it is necessary to realize that some certain events were mainly caused by several individuals. The groups of people did nothing about it. For instance, the special structure of DNA was discovered by Watson and Crick, two professional scientists in biology. Because of their important discovery, we can know exactly how gene copies message to fresh cells and, based on this, other biologists developed the new technology called clone. In this profession realm, not every one can make great difference like those two famous studiers. So, individuals are also needed to take into consideration.

In summary we should combine individuals and groups of people together when study the history, only in this way we can acknowledge it well from all sides.
