The suggestion appeared in a medical newsletter that all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment according to a compare of two groups of patients who have been treated separately. The suggestion seems reasonable at first glance, while after careful examination, some fallacies can be found as follows.

The major suspicion stems from the doubt that whether the two groups of patients are all in the same conditions. From the essay above, we are told that the first group took antibiotics regularly throughout their treatment, them their recuperation time was 40% quicker than typically expected. While we are not sure whether it is the antibiotics which took effects for there are some uncertain factors about the two groups.

According to the essay above, patients may suffer secondary infections which may prevent them from healing quickly after severe muscle strain. Are the patients in two groups are all severe injured? It is indefinitely. Is the average age in group 1 younger than that in group 2? If so, the study taken between the two groups is meaningless because we all know that a younger body can recover faster without any extra assistant. Are all the patients severe injured? There does exist this possibility that patients in group 1 are less injured than whom in group 2 which means they can heal more quickly.

Even if the patients in two groups are all in the same condition and were all severe injured from muscle strain, the treating procession still can not be ignored. As we are informed that people in group 1 are treated by Dr. Newland who specialized in sports medicine, while Dr. Alton who treats group2 is a general physician, which means they have different theories towards patients with muscle problems. If doctors’ treating processions are different, the results of the patients are definitely different. As well as Dr. Newland is the specialist of sports medicine, people who are under his treating will be healing more quickly.

In sum, the author supplied the preliminary result of the study in two groups of patients who suffered from muscle strain in order to suggest people who have the same symptom to take antibiotics as part of their treatment, whereas his deduction is not rational. Were there more detailed information about the procession of treating of doctors, and comprehensive conditions of the patients in two groups, the advice of the author mould be relatively strengthened.

The suggestion appeared in a medical newsletter that all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment according to a compare(comparison) of two groups of patients who have been treated separately. (这句话太长了啊,考虑一下断句)The suggestion seems reasonable at first glance, while after careful examination, some fallacies can be found as follows.

(这一段大部分复述了实验内容,可以和下一段结合,讨论uncertain factors)
According to the essay above, patients may suffer secondary infections which may prevent them from healing quickly after severe muscle strain. Are the patients in two groups are (删)all severe injured? It is indefinitely(the answer is definite). (这段开头说病人可能suffer secondary infections,但是下面的讨论是关于muscle injury的程度的)

Newland is the specialist of sports medicine, people who are under his treating(treatment) will be healing more quickly.

In sum, the author supplied the preliminary result of the study in two groups of patients who suffered from muscle strain in order to suggest people who have the same symptom to take antibiotics as part of their treatment, whereas his deduction is not rational. Were there more detailed information about the procession of treating of doctors, and comprehensive conditions of the patients in two groups, the advice of the author mould be relatively strengthened.(最后这句话用Were开头,但不是疑问句)

It is indefinitely. Is the average age in group 1 younger than that in group 2? If so, the study taken between the two groups is meaningless because we all know that a younger body(这个地方好像有点疑问啊,小不一定代表着恢复快啊,建议你改一下) can recover faster without any extra assistant(without any extra assistant觉得删掉比较合适). Are all the patients severe(severely?) injured? There does exist this possibility that patients in group 1 are less injured than whom in group 2 which means they can heal more quickly.

Even if the patients in two groups are all in the same condition and were all severe(severely) injured from muscle strain, the treating procession (process)still can not be ignored.
