I tend to say I disagree with the argument. After all, we could remember only very few elites who are outstanding and extrude in the long history river. They are leaders, presidents, kings, sciences, artists, writers, though some of them are not noble and on the contrary too noxious to remember. But in fact, our memory can only retain such impression of relatively few persons due to our ability though the entire society creates history together.

We should confess that each person in a society could impact on the history more or less, better or worse. The present society is developing and forming the history, in other words, it is also a history, so we can take our current society for example. In a given field we have numerous persons in it and all of them are dedicating themselves to the human society. Workers make us move faster and live more comfortable through advancing technique, farmers feed us with increasing food and vegetables, media entertain us with lots of movies and novels as like, and science give us a new point to view the whole world. They are necessary and crucial to the development of history and their influence in a whole could be recognized by descendant.

However, broadly speaking, it is impossible to memorize all the persons who contribute to history development. But we should need some coordinates marking history to make its process more clearly to learn. So the famous persons stand out in the history and represent a period. When others refer to civil war, most of us think of Abraham Lincoln while the Declaration of Independence, Washington instead. A notorious instance is Hitler, who advocated the ethnocentrism, caused a catastrophe to the human society. In China, Ying Zheng was a vital character establishing the Qin Dynasty and Li Shimin gave his populace a prosperous society called Tang Dynasty, and even nowadays, the district where the Chinese live in outside the Chinese realm called Street of Tang. In scientific field it is conform too. If we refer relative theory, Einstein would be there in our brain instead of others who played an essential role before Einstein. So who were excellent or influence most to the history in a certain period was taken into account by following people.

It is true that the famous individuals could not be separated from his contemporary society. To explain their connection, I try to resemble it to the relationship between actors and the stage. Individuals like as actors while the stage like as historical circumstance. Undoubtedly, the major actor is so bright in the stage that he hardly be forgotten, but he should accord with the lines determined by the whole drama and present himself in the certain stage. He could not choose the stage and change the lines without considering other's part. It could almost illustrate the relation between renowned persons and the contemporary society. They should comply with some principles and found the correct location. So it is inevitable to remember famous individuals while neglecting other tiny parts and it is helpful to remember a drama but harmful to understand it.

All in all, if it is essential and inevitable to choose famous persons to mark the history, it is reasonable to properly emphasis on individual. However, it is true that the history was made by groups of people. The former scientists cumulated knowledge which was essential to inspire Einstein to presume the unique theory. To understand the history completely, we should pay an important attention to the groups of people.
