51. "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."
平衡观点:
1,每个人有不同的天赋, there is a pearl in each of us.教育应该发现和发展这种talent
  每个人有不同的兴趣,兴趣是最好的老师
.而且专业化也是当今的趋势,分工专业化
2.尽管如此,过早的分类,发展不均衡,
  深度很多时候受广度的限制,难成大器
  限制学生向其他方面发展
  兴趣会改变的

What else but to design an educational plan for each student, according to their own talents, interests as well as needs, would work more effectively for the development of individual. To my observation, it is far from sufficient for education.

It is the duty of education to help students to develop their own talents. Each of us possesses a remarkable pearl which is given by God, and education should provoke individual to attain the unique of pearl. In this way, individual can take full advantage of his talent and realize his value completely. Moreover, the interests are the power for student to learn and the source of pleasure. In some cases, the interests lead individual much better than teachers. The evidences of that point are overwhelming in a magazine called Fortune. The story of Bill Gate who dropped university to establish his great company is well known. It is precisely the same with Michael Dell as well as Jerry Yang. The strong passion to interests has become their best teacher instructing them to overcome obstacles on their way to fulfill dreams. If the interests and needs are the seeds that later produce success and realize individual's value, then the educations are different kinds of fertile soil in which the trees will grow well.

Moreover, in the technology era, whether subject to research or job, they are all be specialized carefully. Such is the trend in our modern society to specialize smaller and smaller. To design separately is just in line with this trend.
       
However, although specialization is the trends of our society, over-specialization or specializing too early may result unbalanced development for individual. The interconnection among knowledge is so close that whether one can perceive knowledge more deeply largely depends on wild knowledge. A wild perspective is beneficial to comprehend knowledge more deeply. Too early to boring holes for individual, acquiring special knowledge and skills may get much more for concentrating early, but it may also lead to that students are lack of common knowledge astonishingly including the basic standards or principles which, as matter of fact, are crucial for student to address problems in their later life. Although a physics genius has no interest in liberal art, he can not lack this important subject.

In addition, to design the direction of students too early will make students have little opportunities to change his career. For the interests and needs of students will change by the process of knowledge accumulation.  A little child hardly knows what he really likes and his original interests and needs may have been strongly influenced by the inclinations of their parents or trends of the society. Moreover, the talent of each child is not so obvious that can be found very early. As a matter of fact, it requires a really long time to seek.

Further, it is costly to design for each student. The demands to teachers are also hardly to reach. At the same time, there are a great many children who have no chance to learn. It is unequal to do so.

Simply put, what we should do is not design a plan for each of student but to observe children carefully, and be ready to encourage students' each positive interest and to give us proper instructions at any time.

是wide instead of wild 吧,相信楼主是笔误
第三段没有扣题,有点感觉突然,好像跟主题无关,加一句回到education上好些把

呵呵,足见楼主语言功底很强啊,比我写的强多了,还是多向楼主学习拉
