It is known to all that an executive of a company plays an important role in any company affairs. In this issue, the author states that making as much money as possible for the company is the chief, even the only responsibility for these corporate executives. In my point of view, an excellent executive requires not only the ability of gaining profit for his corporation, but also some other things such as efficient management, qualified morality and whether he can gain esteem in society for company. My opinion will be supported by the issue stated as below.

First, preserving the existence of a company requires not only money. To ensure its prosperity and development, the company needs a brisk working structure and management structure. Both tasks should be solved properly by the executive who needs to gain relative ability of management and communicating. As we all know that even a small company which consist only several people requires such high effective management. Providing such proper structure of work and staff will definitely improve the efficiency of working and producing. More of that good management handled by a good executive will probably reduce the spending of daily use and the cost of production process. The executive should be capable of communicating with every personnel around him and eliminating problems among any of them, leading them to have a great cooperation and teamwork. That is the basic skill of an executive.

Secondly, to gain a good reputation for the enterprise could be considered as important as to gain a profit. That is also the crucial mission assigned to the company executive. Every enterprise has its brand and name. To protect and increase the reputation of the brand and name will result in extending customer group which will be interested in the product or service. There is saying in many management courses that the first level enterprises consider brand as the whole while the failing ones only focus on profit. As a result, the executive has the responsibility to make plans and take actions to increase the fame of his company. Failing to take care of the fame and brand will only lead to a restriction on the development of the company. Such condition can been seen often in East coast of China that many small enterprise run by a certain family, even if can gain a considerable profit, will never grow to a world famous multinational. We can see that it is truly important that such task should not be waived by the executive.

Last but not least, qualified morality is sometimes more important that the ability of making money. In USA, when interviewing an applicant no matter he wants to be an executive or a directing manager, an honest reference is considered the most important part. A person with past of dishonesty or cheating in whatever field will not be accepted no matter what kind of astonishing ability he has. An executive with great eager of money but with corrupt personality will probably ruin the future of the company.

In sum, money is not everything. An excellent executive should have the responsibility of good managing and he should do every effort for the fame of the company. Besides, of course he must be with good moral. The more ability you gain, the more responsibility you have.
