As the wheel of human culture turns at its accelerating and eternal velocity into 21st century, education, the building block of culture, has attracted much attention. The way to study, like the map guide education, has been one of the most controversial subjects discussed by individuals. Skepticism, though not new to a part of persons, has just been realized essentially for a not long time. In the circumstance of academic freedom, a perspective held by a portion of people suggests that students ought to bring certain skepticism to whatever they learn instead of accepting it passively.

Long enveloped in the atmosphere of passive learning, the backwater of education has welcomed the coming of its fresh spring, skepticism finally. An ancient great educator in China named Confucius said thousands of years ago that "learning without thought is labor lost". Similarly, accepting without skepticism is labor lost. When a student faces a new theory or theorem, what her or his most probable action is to say "yes, it seems correct" and just keep it in mind, while it is usually advised to doubt about it.

To skepticize in study does not mean to say no to anything the student meets. Instead, it should be the scientific skepticism, which contains a process of understanding what is told about the new thing, the ground it based on, which way can be utilized to prove or disprove it, and in the end the student's own perspective with corresponding evidences. If a student doubt about anything she or he meets, unable to judge the validity of it, the world may seem to her or he so undecidable that there is no difference between the person and an agnostic.

Considering those academic knowledge needed, nevertheless, an average student may not be able to carry out a scientific suspicion per se. In this case, the person can turn to those trustworthy experts to get an answer.

If a student is so interested in a certain subject, yet with neither the ability at present to check it by herself or himself nor trust on those experts that she or he is still determined to prove or disprove by her or his own effort, a more suitable choice for this student is that to learn knowledge needed for a period of time, no matter long or short, and then with what she or he gets to solve those problems about the exact subject.

In the course of 21st century, education has been of more and more importance than before, which makes skepticism a frequently talked title in people's daily chatting. Despite the usual realization with the term "skepticism" as question all things appearing, a sensible skepticism includes academic items, setting barricade in the students' way of choosing to be for or against one certain theory or thought.

Mencius said,"When heaven is about to confer a great office on any man,it first exercises his mind with suffering, and his sinews and bones with toil.It exposes his body to hunger………….By all these methods, it stimulates his mind, consolidates his character, and increases his efficiency".
