154.Both parents and communities must be involved in the local schools. Education is too important to leave solely to a group of professional educators.

As the wheel of society and culture turns at its accelerating and eternal velocity, more and more people pay attention to the field of education. Concerning with children--the future of human society--people are now discussing who should take part in the process of education, mere professional educators or they and both parents and communities. For the sake of a holistic education for children, it seems that all of the three must contribute together to the career.

To approach the problem without ambiguity, what to be first explored is the function of education. Different from what recognized by the majority of population, education not only includes formal education ranging from the kindergarten to college as its component, but also contains family and society as parts of it. All these aspects combine to change persons from ignorant infants into erudite adults by showing them knowledge, from physical humans into mental ones by telling them how to think and analyze, from isolated individuals into social elements by dissolving them in the community, and prevent them from being prisoners by discipline them in accordance with laws and rules, as well as enable them acceptable by the culture by influencing them in all spheres--consciously or unconsciously.

Admittedly, it is mainly teachers or other professional educators that instruct children at school, teaching them all sorts of information, which leads to a perspective that no other persons rather than professional educators have or need to participate in local schools. This perspective declares that teachers fulfill the task of teaching knowledge and the way to analyze, while parents discipline children to be "good ones", and the community imposes consequence on them by broadcast media to make them aware of more factors vital to survive the circumstance--to some degree the responsibilities of parents and communities are almost the same, what distinguish them is the distance from children and the extent of impact on them.

Concerning with the final effect of education, or in other words the efficiency of education, this affair will nevertheless perform better when three parts working together in an appropriate way. For one thing, when communities intervene the very task, it enables the schools to keep up with the pace of times, lest they would be left behind by trends. More precisely, community can inform school the new trends or new information needs for the children's surviving and thriving. For the other thing, when parents are involved in the local schools, teachers can to some degree worry less about children but call for the parents' attention and cooperation. Emphatically, hardly can the effect of education be decent unless school and family work in the same orientation--this just explains why parents should go to school for the "parents conference" periodically. The more cooperative the three of school, family and society are, the better effectiveness it will be.

To what should be paid additional attention is that the intervention of parents and communities must be kept in a decent extent, or otherwise the efficiency of knowledge teaching would be sacrificed. One certain thing is that those professional educators are necessarily professional with their teaching skills, which is in no need of doubt. Besides, if too much supervision, the purity and simplicity of school education may not exist any longer, destroying the efficiency of education all the same.

Education, the building block of both society and culture, is so vital a career that only professional educators are not sufficient. Instead, parents and communities--even any other potential factors--had better to work together on behalf of not only children but also human society per se. To emphasize again, no matter what detailed method is to be adopted or utilized, an appropriate extent or proportion of intervention should be remembered and always reminds people’s minds as well.

觉得很不地道,我也没什么好句子.而且觉得这句的意思和上一句也差不多嘛,能不能换个方面来写,.
