Issue17. (总频率35)
"There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."

Outline:
1.        Law is not permanent, and the criteria of judging a law are not clear.(Roman Law)
2.        Law even the unjust one is the foundation of society.(Civil War)
3.        There are better ways to deal with unjust laws such as nonviolent protest.(Martin Luther King)

Many people hold the belief that since law can be labeled as just and unjust, just laws should be doubtlessly enforced whereas unjust ones should be overthrown by the public in a society. It is true that there do exist somewhat unfair in the law nowadays; according to my own lights, however, individuals should try to adopt more acceptable methods to supplement or amend the unjust law rather than perfunctorily resist or disobey it insofar as law is usually conductive to stability of society no matter what kind it may belong to.

To begin with, law is extremely a complicated issue-a trait that in practice is anything but permanent, that is, law often changes as society evolves. As a result, numerous laws are put into use in order to meet the needs and interests of different people, values and periods. Under this circumstance, the law comes out to be intricate and was often evaluated subjectively in terms of one's own viewpoint and stance. A typical example is that historical Roman law which is considered unjust now influenced most of legal system in the past. Consequently, it seems to be impossible and not so easy for people to distinguish good laws from those not that perfect and thereby agree on a final judgment about the attribute of law. Similarly, without picking out unjust laws, idea of disobeying or resisting it becomes utopian.

In addition, even if some law is accurately classified as an unjust one, it may also be detrimental to society in that law has served as a foundation on which based many intricate relationships entangled in politics, business, culture, etc. Once certain law was abolished, maybe it is condign to be, however the impact it exerts may be disastrous and thereby destroys the stability of society. Take the slavery in the US for example, in order to abolish slavery which was legal in South, the nation was involved in the Civil War which like all the other wars caused great loss in many aspects. Simply put, the results of resisting or abolishing a law are unexpected which requires meditation about before making a final determination.

Admittedly, unjust laws do exert bad influence on society, especially democracy and thereby the order of the whole nation. As Aristotle has put it, "Law means order, and good law means good order." In that case, also at a point when aiming at making society maintain stable, individuals who judge certain law as unjust law take the responsibility to make good efforts on improving or amending the law rather than resisting or disobeying through violent behavior, and the like. For instance, Martin Luther King lead the civil rights movement for racial justice through nonviolent protest, which was highly praised by the public. This illustrates that it is effective and beneficial to adopt a more peaceful way which relatively cause little disorder than completely overthrowing so-called unjust law in a fierce or extreme method.

To sum up, the complex issue of whether to resist or disobey unjust law should never be determined indiscriminatingly. After all, the criteria of judging a law are difficult to agree on by different people, values and ideas. Nevertheless, at a point when it comes to the stability of society as a whole and the general well-being based on that premise, it is necessary for every individual to scrutinize the issue carefully before deciding to cope with unjust laws.

To begin with, law is extremely a complicated issue-a trait that in practice is anything but permanent, that is, law often changes as society evolves. (这个句子要再顺顺,我还没想出怎么改)As a result, numerous laws are put into use in order to meet the needs and interests of different people, values and periods.
