2. 事实上，民众也并不期盼政治家是个完美的人，对于一个政治家来说只要把公民的利益国家的利益放在首位，他就是称职的。比如，Bill Clinton

Is it true that it is impossible for an effective political leader to tell the truth all the time? The author claims so. I am inclined to concur with the author at this point. Nevertheless, honesty, in the long run, would benefit a politician a lot. To further shore up my viewpoint, I would present the analysis in details as below.

First of all, a political leader, when considering the interest of the whole nation and also oneself, would not be forthright all the time. As for the nation as a whole, an effective political leader takes the responsibility to keep the country and its people away from threats and dangers. In that case, the leader would tend to conceal some pieces of information such as the top military information, some social upheavals in one region and so forth. Consider the troops of US for example, the commander of the troops would never tell the mass where the nuclear bombs are within the country since by doing that, the information would surely not only drive the public to be panic but also expose the target to the enemy. Besides, when it comes to the leader oneself, an effective leader have the rights not to reveal one's private affairs. Otherwise, he may be vulnerable in the field of politics. In short, an effective political leader, in some cases, is incumbent to conceal some pieces of information when they are likely to threat the nation or the leader himself.

In addition, as long as the political leader devote oneself to enhance the welfare of people in general and make contribution to the nation, people would never expect their leader to possess the highest morality and keep honest every time. In order to understand this point, one merely needs to see former President Bill Clinton. Although once involved in a scandal, he still succeeded in accelerating the development of economy in the US when he was on duty. Now, people in US still favor this president for his significant contribution on economy. This example aptly illustrates that it is not necessary for the political leader to always maintain high morality and tell the truth but indispensable to care about the well-beings of the nation and its people，which is enough for both the public and the leader oneself.

Nonetheless, the honesty, in the long run, would surely play a predominant role in the career of a political leader. Without honest, the leader may achieve some personal interests in a short period, people, however, would overthrow the leadership one day for his untruth. Philippine President Gloria Arroyo, for instance, committed an electoral fraud in 2005, which was wildly blamed by the general public. As the poll displays, more than half of the people in Philippines think that Arroyo is incumbent to resign. Hence, from this example, we can see that in order to be an effective leader, one need not only the abilities and skills in politics but also the favorable feature of honesty which tends to be more important in a politician's career.

To sum up, from the discussion above, we can confidently draw a conclusion that an effective political leader, though does not necessarily own the characteristic of honesty and high morality all the time, should behave properly in the frame of honesty which serves as a foundation for a good leader.

In that case, the leader would tend to conceal some pieces of去掉，让行文简洁些 information such as the top military information, some social upheavals in one region这个不大明白，请指教！ and so forth. Consider the troops of US for example, the commander of the troops would never tell the mass where the nuclear bombs are within the country你既然说了where,怎么能马上说在哪里呢？我知道你想说的是在这个国家的那哪些地方，但这样表达有问题，去掉within the country  since by doing 去掉that, the information would surely not only drive the public to be panic but also expose the target to the enemy. Besides, when it comes to the leader oneself, an effective leader have he or she has the rights not to reveal conceal one's private affairs. Otherwise, he may be vulnerable in the field of politics. To sum up, from the discussion above,又和我一样，呵呵 we can confidently draw a conclusion that an effective political leader, though does not necessarily own the characteristic of honesty and high morality all the time, should behave properly in the frame of honesty which serves as a foundation for a good leader.这个结论感觉有点胜之不武，且不说有少许自相矛盾嫌疑，很明显前半句不能照应你第三段的论证相违背，后半句又与你你第四段的论证相悖。建议改成：though unnecessarily possess the highest level of morality and ethnics all the time, should keep honesty for their long run of policital life.

不好意思抢在lawrence前面先改了，小花这篇文章在论述的角度和逻辑思路上我真的没话可说，可能有些方面论证的力度不够，但是全文读起来感觉非常有条理，与提纲也非常吻合，而且用了Arroyo的好例子，看来我只有纠正语法毛病的份喽，可能有些批改本身就有错误，所以，欢迎你的讨论！大家一起努力！

1．some social upheavals in one region这个不大明白，请指教！这个地方我是想说一个地区（指在这个国家内）的社会动乱，我觉得这种动乱可能会让人们恐慌，造成整个社会的动乱，所以这样的消息作为一个领导人是应该隐瞒的。后面没有写相关的论证，因为没想出来，呵呵~~~

3. treat—treaten呵呵，我总把treat当成动词使，还屡教不改，下回注意。
4．he was on duty during his tenure.原来是这样说的，记住啦during his tenure.
5．people, however, 你怎么喜欢把转折后的句子的主语提到关联词之前呢？困惑！
我是看外国人的文章都这么写，就学了一下，好像学的不到家，呵呵
