153"Students should bring certain skepticism to whatever they study. They should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively."
position: agree
1.        学生在学习过程中保持怀疑态度有助于对知识的理解和掌握
2.        对所学的进行质疑加强了师生之间的沟通,有助于更好学习
3.        但是应该注意“度”的把握,必须是在掌握一定的知识,经过深思熟虑后的质疑才有意义,随意怀疑反而不利于学习,不能走两个极端:要么什么都接受,要么什么都怀疑。
结论:应该培养学生独立思考,敢于质疑的正确的学习态度,
Nowadays, not only the material society but also the ideology of people are developing rapidly. Most of people do not accept what they are informed blindly any more and incline to skepticize. So do the students. It seems disadvantageous to students’ study ostensibly, in fact they will benefit from the proper critical attitude greatly as long as they do not go to the extreme like that questing everything without deliberation.

The unquestioned primary goal of students is studying knowledge as possible as they can. And asking “why” and “why not” is an effective method for them to achieve the goal during their study. Since learning is actively absorbing knowledge, like the sponge absorbing the water, rather than accepting it passively. Only after pondering upon the issue seriously and intentionally, could students bring a certain skepticism about what they study. First of all, the procedure of questing will redound to strengthening what they have learned and uncover what they have not comprehended. On the contrary, if students only accept what they are taught passively, it is highly possible that they have no idea about which part of the knowledge they have mastered, which part they just be stuffed and which part has been omitted. Moreover what is more significant is the subsequent step after questioning. After finding the intricacies, students are stirred to probe the truth thus they will look up in library, discuss with classmates or consult with professors and experts. Whichever method they choose, the knowledge will impressed in their memory deep. Oppositely, those students who accept knowledge passively will not experience such procedure; therefore they cannot enjoy the fruit of deep consideration and what are stuffed into them might be forgotten soon.   

Meanwhile, the communication between teachers and students will be ameliorated via the healthy skepticism from students. In most cases, without any question will be interpreted by teachers that students have digested or understand at least what they are taught, thereby it is unnecessary for teachers to retell, then go on to next section. However, it is not the truth. If students can response in time by asking questions, teachers will be aware of what extent of students have digested and in turn reinterpreted purposefully until students comprehend and master it in deed. Through the healthy skepticism, the bilateral communication forms which contributes to the students’ study. In addition, any one is a human being, not the perfect God. No one can declare that he or she never make a mistake. It is same to professors in the teaching situation. That is to say, a teacher might impart the mistaken information that he or she thinks is right to students occasionally. The healthy skepticism from students will help the teacher correct the conception and prevent other students from misinforming. Not only the student per se but also others, such as the teacher and classmates will benefit from asking question greatly.  

However, we should notice that it does not means students are encourage to bring the skepticism to whatever without any scrutiny. Only after they have learned sufficient elementary knowledge and speculate the issue seriously, their questions are valuable and helpful, otherwise, such activities are useless and even counterproductive. It should be emphasized that students will be cautious about the two extremes: accepting everything without any suspicion or doubting everything without any analyses and judgment. Either of them are perilous for students on the way to learning knowledge.

To sum up, any students should not be scolded for their healthy skepticism and questioning about what they study. What is more crucial is cultivating students’ habit of considering actively and analyzing logically rather than accept knowledge passively and blindly.
