Education is so important that it nearly determines the future of one country, so there is a public controversy nowadays on how to get the best education. Whether both parents and communities should involve in the local schools or those professional educators work alone?  In my opinion, I agree with the speaker that both parents and communities should be involved in the local schools, as the discussed below.

First of all, the professional educatiors are indispensable to ensure the normal education. Since they are professional educators with years of teaching experience, they can tell students what is most important knowledge and guide them to learn effectively. Without them, the students may make many difficulties and have to spend more time unnecessarily. In addition, it is those professional educatiors that establish reasonable and scientific curriculums for students, which is necessary to the education of chilaren and youths. In one word, professional educators function as foundation upon which the education system can be built.

Secondly, as the saying is, "the best education of one individual starts with the knee of his or her mother", parents also play an important role in the process of children's growth. Because there are so many students in a classroom that the teacher could not know each one very well, then it is impossible to cultivate every student according to their characters and talent. But parents can do this. For example, when Edison, the great inventor in history,was young, his teacher did not like him because of his endless questions and even advised  him to drop out of school, but his mother did not think  Edison stupid and began to teach him by herself . Thanks to his mother, Edison could  obtain the confidence and succeed in the futurer. Further more, parents can spend enough time everyday on communicating with their children to tell them what is right and what is wrong. This will do good to students' moral improvement. That is why parents and communities should be involved in education.

Similarly, communities is also of great significance in educating for two reasons. The first one is students are living in certain community, so it goes without saying that the social environment affect the growth of children greatly. For example, the social situation in America in 1960s was not as good as before, and the direct result is that there was a higher percentage of violence,teenage pragnancy and suicide in youths at that time. The other reason is that the community's involvement can give students more opportunities to learn the society. For example students can learn to communicate and cooperate with others, which can not be learned from textbooks. Actually, as the survey made by doctor Wight reveals, without a good community, the educational level of local schools is hard to improve.

In sum, the success of local school depends on the involvement of parents and community to some extent. Only by the cooperation of professional educators ,parents and community can we get the best effect of education.
