To the study of history, some claim that it places too much emphasis on individuals, but the groups of people made the most significant events and trends in history is(are) forgotten. As to partly agree with the view, I believe that the most significant events and trends in history were made by groups of people, but few famous played an irreplaceable role in the process, and the study of history is emphasis (表达不贴切)on both the individuals and groups of people.
As a threshold matter, it is true that the significant events and trends in history were made by the groups of people. As the significant events and trends usually lead to the profoundly(profound) progress of history, the tremendous impetus required is hardly from the single people but the united groups of people. Take the famous revolution of France in 1804 as example. The succeed(success) of revolution is ascribed to the France people, who indicated their unity and power to turn over the realm of France and declared the birth of a new democratic nation. Such revolution, based on the inevitable struggle and fight, hardly succeed on the effort of the few. Without the power the people of France, the revolution is doomed to be failed. Thus, it is the groups of people created and impelled the history.(觉得这个结论很难论证)
However, in fact, it is unfeasible and unworthy to study every member of the groups of people made the significant events and trends in history, for the lack of information and their less contribution to history. For one hand, though the people as a whole played an important role in history, they, as individual(s), contributed little to the progress of history, so it is unworthy to study them as individuals; for the other hand, the fact that little preserved recorded(records) could be fund (found)of the individuals makes the study of those individuals difficult and unfeasible. As a result, the study of history focused on those people presented in the stage of history as a whole.
Meanwhile, the greatness of the famous fewer(few) should not be ignored, it is worth(worthable) and feasible to study their feat, ascribing to their great contribution to the events and trends in history and large amount of existing evidence. Usually, the famous few acted as illuminators or leaders in history, their greatness directed people right and leaded them to in the events or trends in history, which is hardly replaced by the groups. Like Lenin, the leader of the October revolution, his enlightening wisdom and effective leadership is indispensable in the revolution. Though the event was not based on his own effort, his contribution was more than any others in the events and largely impel(impelled) the progress of history. Therefore, he and his feat are worthy to study in history.
To sum up, according to what had been discussed above, a conclusion could be draw safely that though the most significant events and trends were made by the groups of people, the famous few has played an important and irreplaceable role, thus it is worthy to focus on them and the group of people as a whole. Thus, both the great individuals and the group of people who impelled the history should be emphasized to study of history.
