Argument1 Nature's Way
The arguer attempts to convice us that Natue's Way should build their next new store in Plainsvill. To support the conclusion, the arguer points out that previous experience has shown that their stores are most profitable in areas where residents are highly concerned with leading healthy lives. In addition, arguer reasons that the number of the residents who are highly concerned with healthy lives in Plainsvill is very large. Although the arguer provides some evidences to support his assumption and conclusin, there are several critical flaws in the argument.
In the first place, the arguer intends to prove that the number of the residents who are highly concerned with healthy lives in Plainsvill is large. To substantiate this claim, the arguer provides the evidence that Plainsvill merchants report which sales of running shoes and exercise clothing are at all-time highs, and that the local health club has more numbers than ever, and the weight training and aerobics classes are always full. The scales of the classes are very small, which coused that weight training and aerobics classes are always full. The evidences above only mean the number of residents who are willing to exercise and have some sports is not more, but more than ever, because the number of those in the past year might be very little.
In the second place, the argument is based on the gratuitors assumption that the residents in Plainsvill who are enthusiastic about sports and exercise will automatically become Nature's Way's customers. Maybe there are many residents in Plainsvill who are enthusiastic about sports and exercise, but they are not enthusiastic about health food. If so, Nature's Way may not build the next store in Plainsvill.
Finally, the arguer fails to take into account other relevant factors that might affect the business of Nature's Way in Plainsvill, such as the presence of competitors, the population of the area, the cost of building a new store in Plainsvill, etc.
As it stands, the argument is not well reasoned. To make it logically acceptable, the arguer would provid concret evidence to demonstrate the exact number of residents who are concerned with leading healthy lives in Plainsvill, the cost of building a new store and the income in nature. Additionally, the arguer must provide evidence to rule out all the above-mentioned possiblites that might weaken the argument.
