It is better for students at university or in college to choose difficult classes even if they cannot get top grades.(08.1.13)

Nowadays , there is a phenomenon has caused wide public concern in many places of the world that students choose the difficult or challenging classes in college or university though they cannot get a great grade. When it comes to this issue , some people believe that it is bad for students , others , however , disagree with it . As for me , i am in favor of the opinion that it is better for students at univeisity  or in college to choose difficult classes even if they cannot get top grades for following reasons .

First of all ,    students choose  difficult classes to obtain more choices ,higher salaries , and more opportunities for advancement in an increasingly competitive job market. For instance , many students choose Computer Science Class though it is very difficult . Needless to say  applicants with Computer Science degree would not only be qualified for jobs in hightech companies , they would also be well prepared for any job with computer skills as a prerequisite . With a larger  range of potential jobs to choose from , students are more likely to find a job that suits their particular needs and interests.

Second , employers are willing to pay a premium for challenging subjects' students. For example , many companies desire employees offer higher salaries to attract the students that have a difficult subject' s degree .Even if a jog applicant with a college degree has high standardizard test scores , employers may still place a higher value on an applicant with    challenging classes who may  have  lower grades .Students  are not only more likely to receive more job offers , they can also command higher salaries than applicants who have an easy subject's degree .

Last but no least , in addition to offering more choices and higher salaries , a challenging subject's  degree offers access to jobs with a clear path towards professional advancement . For example , a  B.S. in biology  could allow a student to find a job in a lab after graduation , a first step on the road towards a career in scientific research. The same major could also be used to apply to medical school , and a career as a doctor .

In summary, considerable though the advantages that study easy subjects enjoys are , they can not compete with the benefits that choose challenging or difficult classes even if they cannot get up top grades.
