People these days, are increasingly concerning about the booming of technology. Besides furious discussion about the global warming and the threatening of Nuclear weapon, educationists now are worried about our next generation for the lack of creativity lead by newly invention. They claim that children in the early days are far more creative than those at present who rely themselves too much on the technological things. Such statement, although gets some points, is without a solid foundation in my opinion. The technology, at any rate, does its positive business on cultivating the creativity of children rather than loaded against them.

Firstly, advanced technologies, such as the internet, digital library and personal computer, make it possible for us to access to the ocean of knowledge freely and quickly, which means less memory work and more time and energy to be spent on creative firms. I have an experience that I need to find a specific statistics in a library hundreds of miles away for my presentation the next day. It is not difficult to imagine that how tired I am after having a two hours journey by bus. Although I do my utmost to finish all the files required on time, the result is considerably not so good as my counterparts. If, however, I was clever enough to surf the internet using my laptop, the task will absolutely much easier: I can get even more references and draw on the time I saved to organize my work in a more innovative way. Besides, since it is easy to find the equations, scientific constant and chronology of history, we do not need to memorize such dreary things like we used to be. The space of these things in our brain can be got ready for making innovation and invention.

Furthermore, what we called creativity is something needs interdisciplinary knowledge. By using new technology, we can easily find knowledge from independent subject and put it together. Never do I oblige to walk along the separate parts of a spacious library to get books heavy enough to knock me down. Only some clicks, no more thing needed.

As is so often pointed out, technology is a two edged weapon with not only positive but negative side. To be honest, students now feel unfamiliar with paper dictionary. They use digital scanners instead of books, calculators instead of their own brains. Such phenomenon, in fact, set obstacles on the way of creativity.

But, as a whole, the disadvantages of technology can never match the advantages it does in creative ideas. As we can see at present and the near future, more and more innovation will be created for the benefit on our behalf of human race.
