Will printed books be replaced by other media of reading in the next two decades from now on? Different people may respond to this question variously according to their own educational levels and personal experiences. As far as I am concerned, with the development of science and technology printed books will be substituted by other new methods of reading.

To begin with, new kinds of reading methods are more convenient than the printed books. After the advent of the computer and the Internet, more and more people are inclined to read in front of a computer screen rather than to pick up a book due to the convenience of the new reading method. For example, nowadays if we want to find a book, we can simply entering the name of the book in a website and click the search button with a computer linked to the internet. Thus we do not have to go several miles to find a library or a book store.

In addition, the new methods of reading will also save some space in our room. As is known to us all, the amount of books that a computer can stored is enormous, therefore, with a computer in our house, we do not need to use lots of the space of our house for storing books. And we can use the space to do some other things.

Furthermore, new ways of reading will be more vivid than the traditional books. With the help of technology, the quality of Electric books (E-books) is improving everyday. And both sounds and videos can be added in an E-book, which will make the reading process more impressive than the printed books.

Taking into account what has been discussed above, we can safely reach the conclusion that printed books will be displaced by other new methods of reading, because the new methods will be more convenient, save space, and more vivid for learning.
