There are 1000 different Hamlets in 1000 people's mind! The difference existing among people’s opinions on the same issue is a combined result of the positions, experiences and knowledge people hold. So everyone’s observation or perspective is both objective and subjective.
Everyone's opinion is based on his/her position and experience. Undoubtedly, there are some subjective ones in his/her opinion. For example, in discussing a new act or statute, everyone hopes that there are terms meet his/her interest. What more, everyone's experience, which may be untrue, play a crucial role in the forming of people's opinions too. In the mind of a frog in the bottom of a well, the sky is just as large as the well. So, we were told to avoid empiricism in analyzing problems.
On the other hand, the opinion is also affected by the knowledge the observers have learned and established, something is objective and true. While Chinese government was pondering on whether or not building the Sanxia Dam, the biggest one in the world, there were huge amount of suggestions provided by experts of different fields, and there are striking contradictions among this suggestions, some environmentalists opposed building the dam for its fatal destroy to the environment, in contrast, some economists supported the plan from the huge benefits to the nation the dam produced. When we review the debate now, we also couldn’t deny the objectiveness and trueness of some reasons the opponents used. We can find all this opinion is partially true in certain fields.
In short, since everyone's opinion is determined by his position, experience and knowledge, inevitably, there are both objective part and subjective part in every observation. In order to obtain a subjective observation on specific issue, combining perspectives of a board consisted of experts with different backgrounds is a good way.
