There is no doubt that television and telephone are among the most influencial inventions in the 21st century. Telephone makes it more concinient to communicate with people in different places around the world and television makes it easier for audience to reach vary opinions and catch up with the newest developement of events. However, compared to two-person participated telephone, I think the multipal-participated television is a more influencial invention for human beings.

Telephone is invented for communication initially. When Bell,Alekander Graham, the inventor of telephone, pasts his first word through the line, the telephone is introduced into this world. Although a number of years passed, the telephone is still a tool communicating receiver and caller. The information it develops is relatively limited and sometimes confused, because words through the telephone line may cause confusion. For example, the receiver cannot see the facial expressions and body language of the call, therefore, they cannot collect the complex information that the caller intends to deliver.

On the other hand, telivision is a more advanced communicative appliance. Its multicolor and motional images ,together with real sound effect, gives the audience more vivid perception and provides more enjoyment watching the program. Because the television’s those chatacteristics, it can serve better when the host try to present his will and offer more information in a soap opera than the telephone. The television also offer different views for the audience. Due to the multipal channels the television delivers, different opinions can be heard. Thus , the audience can receive more respects of the events, learn more knowledge, broaden their horisons and choose their favourite entertament programs.

To sum up, the televison with its unique and uncomparable characteristics affects mordern people lives more than the telephonedoes.
