With the development of multimedia technology and the prosperity of journalism, it is entirely possible that a piece of news can be all over the earth in a moment no matter how small or little it is. News, especially scandal, plays an important role in our modern life.

On the one hand, scandals are usually to help us become aware of the existing problem in many fields, such as politics, academic problem. There are more and more problems brought about with the process of the rapid development of society. Although most of problems are too mysterious to be found by general people, it does not mean that they are not serious society problems. Taking Watergate Affair as an example, Nixon, the former president of America, was involved a scandal including abuse of power by pubic officials, violation of the public trust, bribery, contempt of Congress, and attempted obstruction of justice. As a result, Nixon became the first president by impeached and was finally driven to resign. Without this scandal, American can not solve the biggest problem of government and were living in the big lie. Take the academic scandal as another example. Although there are more and more problems in academic study, most of people have never paid attention to them. After uncovering the academic scandal about Huang Yuxi, who am a Korea scientist and whose famous paper was found that there are a number of false data in it, government and populace begin to take attention and solve the academic problem.

On the other hand, scandals have an unconspicuous trait that will deny the achievements of those people and institutions involved in these scandals. Most possibly, those people and institutions made a great achievement in their fields in the past even now, and their achievements make a large contribution to their fields or human society. If they are unfortunately involved in a scandal, they are usually destroyed by the power of public opinion because the scandal enlarges their wrong but ignores their achievements. For example, the scandal between US former president Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky will most likely overshadow the entire eight years of his administration, which actually should not be effaced.

Because the scandal is a double-edged sword which can not only solve some problems to save people or society but also destroy a person or situation, people should control the “degree” and keep clam and fair when they pay attention to scandals. If people who do not fully understand the detailed information use the power of public to attack the poor people or situation involved in the scandal, it is entirely possible that they will be drastically destroyed even though they have a great achievement in their fields and greatly contribute to our society. Therefore, before paying too much attention to a scandal and coming to the final conclusion, people should make a detailed and full analysis and treat with the scandal objectively and synthetically.

In conclusion, scandals play an increasing important role in our life with the rapid development of technology and the convenience of society, which can help us to recognize the existing problem or unfair phenomenon and then lead us to the right direction to solve them, at the some time, but deny the achievement of people or situations involved in the scandal and even utterly destroy them. Of course, it is the real bright tomorrow that there are less and less scandals in our society, I firmly believe, which will be achieved quickly through every people’s effects.

我觉得搂住写得不错  一点小意见 Therefore, before paying too much attention to a scandal and coming to the final conclusion, people should make a detailed and full analysis and treat with the scandal objectively and synthetically.
我觉得这一句还欠缺一点正面的论述  比如如果那些事例被正确评价了  或者 有些人客观评价了之后  人们对当事人的看法有了什么变化  但还是觉得搂住写得挺好的
