It is better to make friends with intelligent people than with people who have a good sense of humor.

1.       聪明的朋友在一起我们也会变得聪明,生活上需要我们聪明些。
2.       聪明的朋友会帮助我们一起面对困难
3.       幽默的人的确会给我们的生活带来欢乐，心情不好的时候可以高兴，生活的压力太大的时候我们都可以减轻压力等等

Mankind is a social creature; anyone can not live without friends, even without the contact on other persons, in other words, none could lead to an isolated life. Since we are enclosed by other people, or friends, is it better to make friends with intelligent people than with people who have a good sense of humor? The answer is yes. I definitely hold the belief that the intelligent friends will bring about more benefits to us.

To begin with, life needs intelligence. Intelligent friends will communicate their wisdom to us. Friends always influence us in an unconscious way, the manner they speak, the books they read, the things in which they are interested, all of this play a hidden impact on us since people have the nature that they always do the others do(从众心理). Thus we gradually behave and think as they have, becoming intelligent. Even though humor could transfer as the same way intelligence does, life itself requires us be wise to face every kind of matters. In this modern society, especially under the fierce competition, everyone should be intelligent in order to lead to a better life. Life is a long process that we have to experience, it will present various unpredictable situation, whether fortunate or not, such as illness, unemployment, divorce, the choice of university and so on. Which one we would to choose？We should be intelligent enough to handle such present life gives us so that we could live a better life.

In addition, intelligent friends could help us to get through the difficulty times. I can acquire benefits, from others especially the wise ones, which I can not acquire alone. They have their own specific perspective on the difficulties that I encounter and provide their unique ideas to me, and then I can make a sensible decision. For example, I told one of my college roommates, a good friend, who always have her own viewpoints towards life and also is intelligent, that I wanted to go abroad to study. She weighed the all-round factors, such as the expense, the future and my abilities to live in other country. She not only provided me the objective viewpoints but also some aspects to which I blinded. So it is obvious that an intelligent friend always can help us under particular situation. They can help us analyze the factors of the situation and make a wise one.

Nevertheless, humorous friends will bring about laughter to life and make life more colorful. We indeed need humor, not only it can make life ease, but also it can contribute to both the physical and metal condition. Despite these advantages, life is combined by complicated factors. One wants to be superior to others under the modern society, she or he has to appeal to intelligence and wise.

To sum up, in my opinion it is better to make friends with intelligence than friends with humor, since we will become intelligent and they can help us under some difficulty times. Even though humorous ones can bring colorful to our lives, the advantage pales the one that the intelligent friends bring about.
