------正文------
Should government preserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural state even though these areas are often extremely remote and thus accessible to only a few people, as the author asserts? I fundamentally agree with this assertion, since it is government's responsibility to protect it and without proper preservation, the destruction of wilderness areas may bring to a broad adverse effect.
To begin with, one of government's responsibilities is to protect its people. In other word, government has responsibility to preserve the wilderness areas, which may lead to impact on people's life. Being accessible to only few people cannot be a reason of refusing preservation of wilderness areas. People related to the wilderness areas have the same right of protection with those who live in cities or other areas. It just likes government should not ignore problems of the handicapped, who is also minority of the population. Moreover, if government did not preserve the wilderness areas, no one else would the interest and the ability to preserve them.
In addition, although wilderness areas are remote and accessible only to a few people, it affects the whole country or even the word as well. For one thing, plants wilderness areas play a pivotal role in weather. Without proper protection, the weather would become extremely bad. For example, because of deforestation in northeast in China, people in all the north of China always suffered heavy wind with dust and dirt. Similarly, without proper protection of the source of Yellow River in wild maintain, she had become dry many times, and people who used utilize the water have to find other water supply. For another, although wilderness areas are remote, sometimes they have great resources, such like plants, animals and water. If people preserve those areas and make the best use of it, they can also bring great impact on our life. China is developing the program, which makes water in the southwest into electricity in order to relieve the press of electricity in the north big cities like Shenzhen and Guangzhou. To the contrast, if government did not preserve the wilderness areas in the west, big cities in the north would still in the high pressure of electricity. Thus, wilderness areas are worthy to be preserved.
Admittedly, some may argue that there are great many other fields also waiting for finance and government may have insufficient money to make all satisfied. In this case, government should solve the fundamental problems such food supply and social stableness at first, at the same time, make opportunities to prepare for the preservation. In a word, government should not ignore the wilderness areas and the people living on them.
In sum, as all the discussed above, I come to conclude that the government should preserve the wilderness areas, for their effect on the country and the word is broad.
自己觉得例子还要再完善!!
