I fundamentally disagree with the assertion that governments should pay attention to solving the immediate problems of today rather than settle the anticipated problems of the future. Nevertheless, both of the problems should be take into account and strike a balance between them.

To begin with, no one can deny that immediate problems that agonize and afflict people mostly and need government take measures to solve them. Nowadays, there are plenty of troublesome social problems exists, such as terrorism, drag abuse, unemployment and so forth, which actually need to be addressed by governments as soon as possible since their existence extremely danger the normal living of people. Fortunately, several countries have realized these problems and came together to solve them. If governments do not carry out a series of policies to solve these problems, the whole society would be in chaos and result in serious convulsions, let alone the economic development and make some blueprint of the future. Therefore, only immediate problems of today have been settled could the human being possess relatively harmonious society.

Howbeit, it is arbitrary to claim that governments should ignore the anticipated problems of the future to settle the immediate problem, even though the latter may be urgent right now. That is to say, narrowly concentrating on solving the immediate problems rather than trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future could not only influence the improvement of society but also exhibit an expression of irresponsible for the future descendants. Take energy for example, petroleum, coal and natural gas are the main energy resource used by human being to meet to their needs and settle various problems. According to these energy are not reborn explore, finding a new energy is the primary task in the world. Take environment protection for example, it is necessary for the governments to take measures to solve the environment pollution problem, however, bury or set on fire the garbage even dump it to other countries are not the correct manner to solve the current problems, actually, all the methods should be promising and could not harm the future improvement and lead to new problem. Only insist on the sustaining way could the environment pollution problem be essentially settled.
