what kind of life you choose

a question i just think about while reading materials:

Would you rather have a long life with the normal ups and downs, or an extremely happy life that ends after another twenty years???

If I am not at a cafe, I'd be on the way to a cafe.

why not a looooong happy life.....i can't give up any decade of my short life, also happiness~~~hard to choose.

actually, i cann't see anything happy in my life now, so i don't know why i have to suffer for decades.
dying later than my parent's death is good, no matter how long i live.

hehe, this is like catch-22. If you have a normal life with ups and downs, you'll probably get tired after 20 more years and cant' wait to visit heaven. If you are the happiest person in the world, you probably don't want to die in 20 years. Hell might now be as interesting.

well, that is fairly depending on how to measure the quality of these two choices lying in front from a very personal view... how normal are those up and down, and how high is the happiness? are those tolerable? if it falls into the region of untorlerence, a heartache may bring you down far before the end of 20 years. to be honest, if a set of value which represents the quality of life form a normal distribution, these two assumptions must fall into the two tails, the extreme region, which means a real normal life we are living in is a combination of those two assumptions above.
