[问答] 新G阅读两道题不太明白。求助求助！！ [复制链接]

两道逻辑题，选自新GRE阅读逻辑10套。就把我主要纠结的选项写出来了。1. Sleep deprivation is a known cause of workplace error, and many physicians frequently go without sleep for periods of 24 hours or more. However, few of these physicians have, in the course of a routine examination by a peer, been diagnosed with sleep deprivation. So there is little cause for concern that habitual sleep deprivation will cause widespread physician error.

问题： The answer to which of the following questions would be most helpful in evaluating the argument?
A. Is the ability to recognize the symptoms of sleep deprivation in others significantly impaired by habitual sleep deprivation?
B. Do factors other than habitual sleep deprivation ever lead to errors in the workplace on the part of physicians?

答案是A，但是我想选B

2. In the workplace, influenza is typically spread by infected individuals to others with whom they work in close quarters. A new medication that suppresses the symptoms of influenza therefore will actually increase the number of influenza cases, because this medication will allow people who would otherwise be home in bed to return to work while infected.

问题：Which of the following, if true, most seriously challenges the prediction?
答案是 Coughing, a symptom of influenza that the new medication suppresses, is a primary mechanism in the spread of this illness.
这道题其它的答案都有明显错误，就不写了，但是我不明白这个答案是怎么challenge the prediction的。

第一题：
这道题涉及三个概念，
Sleep deprivation（1）
workplace error（2）
habitual sleep deprivation（3）
我们做题就是要搞清出他们的关系
作者给出了
（1）和（2）的关系：（1）是（2）的原因（原文的第一句）
以及
（3）和（1）的关系：没有必然相关性（原文的however句）
这两重关系说明了（2）和（3）之间的关系，就是（2）和（3）在概念上的内涵是不一样的
因此能够帮助证明（2）和（3）的关系的答案就能够帮助evaluate the argument。

(A) Coughing, a symptom of influenza that the new medication suppresses, is a primary mechanism in the spread of this illness.
因为这个new medication suppress influenza，故也suppresses Coughing这个symptom嘛，也就不会因为spread by infected individuals to others with whom they work in close quarters而increase the number of influenza cases啦！
