医疗机器人和医疗器械设计方向，有机械，电子，计算机背景的都可以试试。
方向非常好，跟Emory,Harvard, MIT等校有合作关系。
因为有足够的funding，合适的申请人今年秋天就可以入学，不用担心deadline问题。

The University of Georgia (UGA) Faculty of Engineering hascareer opportunities in the area of Medical Robotics and Instrumentation.

PhD and Post-Docpositions in Medical Robotics and Instrumentation (Available Now)

We areseeking exceptional, self-motivated individuals to work with a small team toconstruct and test a novel minimally-invasive device to reach far inside the humanbody.
Research will include: mechanical andelectronic circuit designs, prototyping and pre-clinical testing of diagnosticand therapeutic devices to address clinical problems.
A thorough understanding and hands-onexperience of user-centered designs, electronic circuitry, programming andsystem control in medical applications are highly appreciated. Publication ofresults is also an integral part of the positions.

Key areas of research will bethe following:
*Design, development andexperimental validation of mechanical and electronic systems for image-guided therapy
*Integration of novel andestablished tools for controlling and validating accurate placement ofinterventional devices
*Investigation of clinical workflowsand validation of developed systems in collaboration with clinical partners

Werequire the following credentials for the positions:
*Degree in mechanical, electrical,biomedical engineering or related fields
*Hands-on experience of engineeringdesigns, circuitry, system control and integration, particularly in mechatronicsystems
*Demonstrated capability indesigns, fabrications, and testing of novel devices
*Expert use of LabView,Matlab and Solid Works or Pro/Engineer
*Previous experience in medicaldevice R&D

Inaddition, the following skills and experience would be a plus:
*Solid background in MRI andRF engineering
*Hands-on experience ofdesigning MRI compatible devices and imaged-guided systems
*Sensing systems: digitalimaging, medical imaging (MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray), and tracking (Seeds/EM/Optical)
*Programming experience in C#and C++
*Knowledge of the medicaldomain, specifically of methods and systems leading to FDA approval

Candidates will conductresearch in the area of minimally invasive interventions in close collaborationwith clinical partners.
