TOPIC: ISSUE50 - "In order to improve the quality of instruction at the college and university level, all faculty should be required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach."

What is the significant difference between college education and high school education? In my opinion, the answer is the target. In high school, it is important for students to accumulate knowledge, while in college and university is to learn how to research and study. As a result, there are many ways to improve the level of education. The appeal to faculty to learn relevant knowledge is just one means.

To begin with, with the development of the technology and society, people pay more attention to the comprehensive knowledge. The appearance of biochemistry and bioinformatics support this claim well and the discovery of the construction of DNA is a classic example of the combination of biology and physics. Without the knowledge of X-rate and construction in space, Watson had no chance to put forward his prediction and then got the Nobel Price. Not only in doing research, it is vital in teaching. The professor can broaden students' horizon and enlighten their idea. Especially in art realm, A professor with different knowledge has the ability to spark students to create wonderful works.

Even though these relevant trains are vital for persons to come up with the development and incent students potential ability, not all faculty have to spend time on these course because it is not worthy for some classic research realm. Time is precious for everyone especial the scientist in the function that some science survey need lots of time and even a continuous time. The experiment of plants is significant. Common sense tells us that most plants need to water everyday and the life circle is somehow every long. So for scientist, it is important to pay attention on this rather than the so-called train, because that the experiment in real lab cannot be replaced in teaching.

However, some classes are necessary for every teacher which is useful in learning the thought of students and the methods to attract students' interest. A good teacher is a big welfare for students and to be a excellent teacher, not only does it need professional knowledge, but also does communicate with student and teach them methods and knowledge.

In addition, many ways are effective in improving the quality. For instance, offer more opportunities for students to apply what they learned in practice; offer more information for students to find the knowledge which they are interested in; offer more lectures for students to cultivate their interests about new things. There are so many aspects for college and universities to improve education, the officers should consider more about the train for all faculty. It is better to cost as little as facilities to get as much as effect.

In conclusion, demanding staff to acquire some knowledge in relevant to their major is a effective way, yet, not fit for all faculty. Also there are abundant methods for a universe or a college to reach the goal.

个人觉得整篇文章思路有点混乱，论证的就没有那么有针对性了。
另外整个文章只是围绕题目前半段展开，完全忽视了后半段，不知这样可否~
