1.第一题发现reconcile A with B，那么A和B的目的或者效果应该是相反的。
a defense attorney's _____to ensure that false testimony is not knowingly put forward with 和the attorney's mandate to mount the most ____defense conceivable for the client____。
前面是强调供词的谨慎性，避免出现破绽被攻击。后面则是说证词的大胆和明确，从而对客户进行有力辩护。
因而CE即可。

第二题，是直接复述题加间接转折题。
by starting vital functions if they are absent，那么前面第二空应该反应该效果。
即他们假设自己不在而不能发挥作用，即不能对失去知觉者施救。又发现前面的but，第一空和第二空存在转折关系。
第二空是负面词，而第一空为正面词。
diagnose ['daiəgnəuz]
v.判断, 诊断(疾病)
counter ['kauntə]
n.柜台, 筹码,计数器, 反驳
adj.相反的
adv.与…相反地
v.反对, 反击

第三题很好判断。
从最后一句yet their campaign adveertisements often hide important differences ，存在前后转折，那么实际上differences是没有被hide的，第二空直接将differences的变体形容词dissimilar填入。
第一空，也从后面的句子中发现，hide一词表达了political advertising 的欺骗性，直接填入deceptive即可。
