2/10 independent
I agree with the statement that children should be encouraged to finish their works with independence. Parents can not or not be able to do everything for their children since the future belongs to the next generation, not to the elder.
Admittedly, some helps from parents may be efficient in the childhood. No doubt, new-born babies have no understanding about this complex world. It is their parents that leave them a strong influence about the complicated world. For instance, my parents taught me recognize the character, recite the classics of the culture lecture, and most importantly, distinguish the mortal and evil. However, parents should not pay much more attention on children for somewhat the children can easily be spoiled and this may lead he/she in trouble when he/she lives alone.
First, parents deal with more difficulties the children facing for the children rather than let them be. This may result in that children can not learn to be mature or grown up. If a boy/girl do not work the problem out on his/her own hands, the same question may trouble he/she a second time, eventually a third time or fourth time. Here I remember I broke my unique pen at thirteen, which was a award for the first prize in the competition. And I treasure it like a gem. The broke made me dispute like falling in a deep. Overwhelmed by the pain, I turned to my father, expecting he could fix it. In fact, my dad rejected to me and told me that your treasure only to be reborn in your way. Later days, altogether with my dad, I read as much as dozens books, done experiment and consulted the professors so I fixed my award. From that on, I could not only fix a pen but learned a truth of life as well. The truth is only through completing a task individually that can be thought as knowing it.
These are my reasons why I agree with the independence more.
2/10 integrated writing
The reading material mainly tell us that the benefits of group. But in the listening, the professor is not approval of them. First, the reading said that wider range of knowledge and skills while the professor thought that individual can contribute more because of the efficiency. Usually, a group takes advice and works as whole, which may waste lots of time. But individually, a person can move more quickly.
Second, the professor mentioned that some suggestion may be missing as the adviser is not so influence.
Third, in the professor's perspective, a person work individually are ,in some extend, highly creative since he or she could not be disturbed or influenced by others, which is not available in a group.
Last but not the least, if a group failed the project, who would be blamed to? The leader? No, according to the professor the guys who should to be blamed to be are the all members. |
