Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Young people enjoy life more than the old people do. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
In my opinion, Young people enjoy life more than the old people do. Young people represent the hope, energy and future, which are too precious for the old to own. They have dreams, which the old may think are crazy. They have energy, which allow them to do many things that the old can’t imagine to do. They have the future, nobody could tell who they will be and what their life will be like, unlike the life of the old which has been decided.
Young people have the hope which encourage them to accomplish their goals, more important, recharge them when they taste failure. Life is always full of difficulties, but for the young, difficulties are also chances to show their ability, creativity and determination. They enjoy the process to overcome whatever they will meet, when the old may choose to avoid those difficulties and also can’t enjoy the success.
Furthermore, young people have sufficient energy to do what they want to do. For example, young people like sports such as basketball, football, tennis, go skating and so on. They feel pleased, strong and active playing with their friends. The old can do some sports, too, but most of time they have to care about that whether or not can the health support the sports.
Finally, young people have the future, so they have enough time to enjoy their colorful life. The old have too much experience to think about, sitting on a chair and talking with an old friend all day. They care less about what will happen tomorrow, sometimes feel afraid to face the future, which means death. Life is enjoyable because it’s unpredictable, for young people, they enjoy today and expect new surprises tomorrow when the old feel unsurprised and feels there are nothing to enjoy.
Young people enjoy life today and they have more to enjoy tomorrow when old people enjoy yesterday and have less to enjoy today. Young people enjoy life more than the old, so we all should value every day when we are young. |
