The system research group in the CSE division of Louisiana State University is recruiting 1-2 Ph.D. students for Fall 2022. The deadline for regular admission with full financial consideration is January 15, 2021.
The main research focus of the group is data storage, processing and emerging system platforms, such as data centers, cloud systems, mobile and edge systems, etc. Knowledge about data storage, databases, operating systems, cloud computing, flash and NVM, key-value stores, and other related areas will be welcome, but not required. Houston is about 4-hour drives away. The LSU campus is located in the south of the city center. It is famous for the southern style architecture, nationally well-known football, and over one thousand live oak trees on the campus.
