[新人学堂] 想去香港教育学院读研究生{:3_75:}有很多问题想请教各位前辈 [复制链接]

1、我本科是数学与应用数学师范专业，希望到香港继续学习“数学”和“中高等教育”有关的课程
2、作为师范类学生，当然继续希望进入师范大学学习，香港就只有“香港教育学院”
3、看了他们的很多课程，好像这个课程比较符合我的意愿，不过我不明白，他后面写了“PT”就是part time 的意思吗？有什么特别之处？会影响我申请吗？Mathematics and Pedagogy（MA）（PT）
4、除了这个专业，还有什么其他专业是符合我的意愿可以推荐的呢？和“数学”、“中学教育”、“高等教育”有关的课程都可以
5、网上资料很杂乱，教育学院的官方网站找来找去都找不到相应年份的申请页面，都是前几年的，究竟是哪个网站？我应该从何入手

INTRODUCTION

The programme emphasizes mathematics subject knowledge, innovative pedagogical practices and flexible teaching environments. It is primarily designed for in-service mathematics teachers who are looking for an opportunity to upgrade their mathematical knowledge and to apply such knowledge to the learning and teaching of mathematics in the school setting. It enables graduates to become competent mathematics teachers, and could greatly enhance the upward mobility of their education careers.


PROGRAMME AIMS

This programme aims to:

deepen and strengthen students' knowledge in mathematics;

help students realize how to teach school mathematics from an advanced mathematical point of view;

expose students to different classroom environments and innovative pedagogical practices in mathematics;

cultivate synergy between subject knowledge and pedagogy in mathematics; and

help foster students' critical thinking to enable them to become reflective practitioners.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The programme comprises 24 credit points (cps). Students normally take one year (Full-time) or two years (Part-time) to complete the programme. They need to attend an average of two to four classes per week (depending on the study mode) which may be held in the daytime/evening on weekdays and/or Saturdays at the Tai Po Campus, Tseung Kwan O Study Centre and/or Kowloon Tong Satellite Study Centre as decided by the Institute.

PROGRAMME CURRICULUM

The programme comprises 24 credit points (cps). Each course is worth 3 cps.

4 Core Courses (Mathematical Studies) 12 cps
4 Core Courses (Pedagogy in Mathematics) 12 cps
Total  24 cps

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

The medium of instruction is English supplemented with Chinese.

CREDIT TRANSFER

Credit Transfer may be granted for courses completed successfully at the Institute previously or another accredited tertiary institution. The exact study duration and number of credit points to be transferred will depend on the qualifications of individual applicants. The total number of credit points transferred cannot exceed 50% of the total number of credit points (i.e. not exceed 12 cps) of the programme. Applications will only be considered on a case-by-case basis, preferably within the first two weeks of each semester in each academic year.

TUITION FEE

This programme is offered on a self-funded basis. The tuition fee for the whole programme is HK$88,000, which is provisional and subject to adjustment. Tuition fees paid are normally not refundable or transferable.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should normally hold a recognised Bachelor's degree in subject areas other than mathematics (or equivalent), who are preferred to be in-service or prospective mathematics teachers. They should possess at least an AS-level mathematics background or an equivalent qualification in mathematics.*

*Applicants who had studied some post-secondary mathematics (or mathematics related) courses in their undergraduates or former teacher college of education may also be considered.

Non-native English speakers are required to demonstrate competency through one of the minimum requirements as
listed on the "Application and Admission" Section or completion of first degree at a university where the programme studied was taught in English.

3、PT就是parttime的意思，一般讀2年，非本地生如果報讀PT模式，申請到的簽注只能在上課日子進入香港且不得過夜，一般比較時候在深圳的內地人。
4、這個當然要你自己去每個學校的官網看啊，伸手東西就能來麼？
5、官網資料是齊全，不是雜亂，現在還是2015fall，還沒有開始2016fall的申請，你當然找不到啦。。。
