Postdoc Researcher in Environmental Chemistry
A postdoc researcher position is available immediately in Dr. Yandi Hu’s Environmental Chemistry Lab in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at University of Houston, TX, United States of America.
The two major research foci of our group are nanochemistry and geochemistry. We seek highly-motivated candidates to conduct research in these two areas. The postdoc researcher will gain knowledge and learn advanced techniques of nanomaterial characterization such as synchrotron X-ray scattering, AFM, DLS, and QCM-D. The researcher will also have the chance to collaborate with top scientists at several national labs. More information on the current research of the group can be found at http://www.cive.uh.edu/faculty/hu.
Requirements: 1) The candidates need to have a strong chemistry background with a PhD degree in Environmental, Chemical, and Material engineering, or Geoscience and Chemistry; 2) The candidates have already published more than two first-authored papers on decent journals (IF>3) and have good writing skills; (3) Candidates with experimental skills in nanomaterial characterization (such as SEM, TEM, AFM, QCM-D, DLS, XRD, XPS, BET) will be considered as a plus.
