The following appeared in a magazine article about planning for retirement.
'Because of its spectacular natural beauty and consistent climate, Clearview should be a top choice for anyone seeking a place to retire. As a bonus, housing costs in Clearview have fallen significantly during the past year, and real estate taxes remain lower than those in neighboring towns. Nevertheless, Clearview's mayor promises many new programs to improve schools, streets, and public services. Retirees in Clearview can also expect excellent health care as they grow older, since the number of physicians in the area is far greater than the national average.'

Before we accept the conclusion reached in the argument, the evidence given in the argument should have to be examined from several other angles.

To begin with, the arguer fails to take into account many other factors which might affect persons' decision when they choose a place for their retirement. For one thing, persons might have to consider the transportation situation of Clearview. If persons have big problems to visit other place after they dwell in Clearview, it is very likely that people might be reluctant to live in this place. For another, persons might choose the neighbors who would live beside them before choose a place for their retirement.
Perhaps residents of Clearview are not welcome to strangers. Therefore, the mere fact that Clearview own spectacular natural beauty and consistent climate does not mean that this place can attract more persons to choose to live here.

Moreover, it is unwarranted to assume that housing costs in Clearview are low. It is true that housing costs of that place have fallen significantly during the past year, nevetheless; it does not follow that most of people can afford its housing costs. There is a good chance that Clearview might still be one of the places which keep the highest housing costs, and that people want to live in Clearview might have to pay a larger number of money for housing costs than any other places.

Last but not least, the arguer unfairly assumes that residents in Clearview can own excellent health care as they grow older. From the argument, we know that the number of physicians in the area is far greater than the national average. But we are told nothing about the national average, and we also not informed about the real number of Clearview's physicians. If the level of national average is so poor that its citizen can not bear, and if the physicians in that area might be insufficient to fulfill the requirement of local persons, most of retirees might have to choose to dwell in other countries for their retirement when they own enough money.

To sum up, this analysis i not well reasoned. To justify the argument, the arguer might have to rule out any other possibilities which might weaken the conclusion.
