你拍一,我拍一
issue144 It is the artist, not the critic, who gives society something of lasting value.
Who brings society something of lasting value? Is it(the) artist or(the) critic? As my pondering, both of them play a vital role, but to some extent, critic makes even more sense (更在理?不如说作用更重要,more important之类的话).
Admittedly, the artwork is what the artist brings to the world, bound together with his wisdom and the cognition of circumstance around. We can say that, each of successful work is a manifestation of the creator's energy to the fullest possible, as well as an actual exhibition of current life through his own perspective. In order to make his work more lifelike, for example, a painter,(这里能替换成一个画架的名字就更有说服力而且更拽一些,其实任何画架的名字都可以用,随便挑一个安上) may go to country in accordance of particular need, talking with the local people or finding a quiet place with beautiful view, what he has done is simply to explore his spark of creating. Then, perhaps for several months or even longer, he is staying in his studio creating his art work(注意啦,注意啦,art work=/=artwork), just like producing a child --their work is often seen so. This certainly is a long way replete with hardships and happiness, yet every step means a little nearer to the bank of success. After journeying through the harsh winter, his work finally comes out. It is an excellence; often does the painter think so, unavoidable add some subjective judgment.(BTW,我觉得例子可以再精简一下) But how can we learn that his work is worth our appreciation and truly do good to the whole society? (对社会有好处?不如说符合社会大众的审美需求,作品不一定要有用,而是要为人所认可和接受,这样才能lasting)
Then the critic, who reveals the value of the artist’s treasure to the public, makes it possible. The job of a critic is to select what really worth humans' attention from various works and help people understand them more profound(profoundly). Furthermore, we are living in an era of rapid social and technology with heavy pressure and limited time so that we don't (do not)have enough vigor and time to tell the treasure from trash. However, as a (an) indispensable part in humans’ life, no matter now or before, art is enssencial (essential) by refreshing our mind and relaxing our body after intense work. So (前后两句并没有因果关系,干嘛用so) this kind of person--critic is especially important, who stands out to guide us and help us find the work as we best see fit.(这段你可以分下层次,第一,评评家有专业知识,能理解深层次;第二,我们没时间,他们有时间能分清是艺术还是垃圾,但是这些要和lasting value上扯一扯就更切题了)
However, we can't lose sight of the fact that the critic has some limitation as his own. After all, attitude from one or just several critics can hardly reveal the real value of a great work. Sometimes they may make mistakes. For example, Van Gogh, who hadn't become famous until his death, was once denied by a critic, which is a pity not only to him but also to the whole society. But compared with some other artist, he may be lucky to some extent, at least the value of his greatest painting—“Sunflower” was finally be recognized and he of course become one of the most famous artist of the world. Until now, we never know on earth how many "Van Gogh" have had the same miserable results just because of some irresponsible words of a critic, but one point can be sure, without critic, there will be more great works disappear before they made their first appearance to public in the river of history, since majority of us, who is normal and lack a sense of art , is hardly to know the real value of the art. It is critic who bring and introduce the art to the public, thus all of us can research the art and ultimately utilize the art. For instance, through making a research towards a china from Ancient China, we can partly know certain respects of society condition at that time. Otherwise, we never have a chance to know about it, let alone the lasting value it bring to society.(这个段进行了正反论证,但是我觉得反面可以自成一段,要不和ts不一致了,但是似乎也不是死规定,anyway,个人想法)
Simply put, the artist brings the work to the world, while the critic finally finds it through his professional insight, introducing it to the society. Lasting value of a great art work cannot exist without any one of them. However, only through (only…语气太强了一些) critic can the art be given emphasis on and serve to work on significant and lasting benefit to our society.
