As a modern person who gains benefits from the development of technology, I agree that the technology today does help us a lot and by utilizing the technology, we can do many things without a hard thinking. For example, with the help of intelligent navigator, drivers do not have to try their best to remember the complicated roads, nor need they know the special traffic regulations of some road, such as speed limit or forbidding blowing. Admittedly, in some cases, we need not think hard as before by relying on the technology. However, if we look back to see how the technologies are developed, we would recognize that only when we can deal with some problems well, can the technologies aiming at solving such problems be created, in other words, our thinking is always before the technology. Because of this, if some difficulties we met are too complicated to understand, the technology can not solve is either. The complex of the world determines that we can not understand the problems in the future, nor can we solving them by using existing technologies. For example, when we found the electric energy, we developed such technologies to make it, such as by vapor, wind, nuclear and so forth. However, it does not end here, we consequently realized many ways in using such energy like heating, cooling, then we developed associated technologies. Further, we realize the importance of saving the energy, and we begin to think what to do. Even in such a narrow field of the world, the problems will be endless, so how can we stop thinking, and how can our ability of thinking deteriorate? In the original statement, there is a good intention to remind us of the importance of thinking indepandently. Some reports have shown that with the appearance of the calculator, some primiry school students can not do even a very simple calculation. However, considering this statement from a whole view, I think we need not worry too much about that. Since the world is developing so quickly, there are always new problems that we should think about, as a result, our ability of thinking for ourselve will never deteriorate.

Looking at the examples above, it seems that the technology does make us think less.
However, the technology by no means inhibits our thinking. On the contrast, it unfetters our imagination, so that we can have a deeper understanding. Living in such a well-developed human civilization, under which we are not satisfy with superficial understanding, we are thirsty for a realization of the laws of the world—and we are intelligent enough to make it— but we cannot waste our time in some preparative work. Fortunately, with the help of technology for these preparative work, we can have a deeper understanding. With the help of calculator and computer to process a large amount of business data, economists can make a deep understanding of the laws of economics and foresee the economic trends in the future, which was impossible before the appearance of such technologies. Simply put, technology can help to think deeper to achieve a better understanding of the world.
Moreover, technology gives us more time to think about whatever we are interested in, such as art and culture, which leads to the diversity and colorfulness of the world. One apt example is that, in primitive society, people were ignorant and lived a colorlessness life, because they spent all their time in finding food in order to survive. Thanks to the new technology, our thinking is no longer narrowed by the stress of living. Instead, we can study other things which are important to our spiritual life, such as art, culture and entertainment, and make the life more meaningful. In a word, technology can give us more time to think broadly to get a better taste of life.
In fact, the capability of complex thinking is one crucial feature that distinguishes humans from other species, which will never deteriorate as long as humans exist—the nature of greed will urge us to think unceasingly. To sum up, the influence by technology upon thinking is that it broadens and deepens rather than deteriorates.
