Scholarship: The standard studentship for full-time PhD students is HK$14,350/month, guaranteed for three years.
奖学金待遇: 全日制博士研究生的奖学金为港币14,350元/月，共三年。

Basic Requirements:
Applicants seeking admission to the PhD degree programme should possess:
(A) a master's degree from a recognized university or comparable institution (computer science, computer engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field);
OR
(B) a bachelor's degree with first class honours from a recognized university or comparable institution (computer science, computer engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field)

Candidates under paragraph (B) should have evidence of research achievement/experience. They may be admitted to the MPhil programme initially, but with a view that they will proceed to the PhD programme after satisfactorily passing assessment at the time of candidature confirmation.

基本要求:
申请入读哲学博士课程的学生须持有:
(A) 认可大学或专上院校颁授的硕士学位(计算机或应用数学相关方向)；
或
(B) 认可大学或专上院校颁授的一级荣誉学士学位(计算机或应用数学相关方向)

符合资格(B)的申请人须证明曾经参与研究工作，申请人或须先修读哲学硕士课程，如申请人的评估测试成绩良好，可于入读资格确定后，直接升读哲学博士课程。

Language Requirements*:
TOEFL ≥ 550 (Paper-based Test) / 213 (Computer-based Test) / 79 (Internet-based Test); or IELTS ≥ 6.5; or CET-6 ≥ 500
* Exceptions can be given to extraordinary applicants

语言水平要求*:
托福考试 ≥ 550分(笔试)/213分(机试)/79分(国际网路试); 或者雅思考试 ≥ 6.5分; 或者全国大学英语考试六级考试≥ 500分
*优秀申请者可适当放宽条件

Solid mathematical background;
Familiar with Matlab, C/C++, or Java;
Keen in high-impact research work;
Quality conference/journal publications will be an advantage

扎实的数学基础;

热爱研究，追求卓越;
已发表高水平会议论文或者期刊论文者优先
